Reviews of Marketo Engage
Marketeo engage – improve your customer engagement
Comments: What I like most is its marketing automation feature, which streamlines our email campaigns and allows for in depth customer analysis. This means we can provide personalized content to each user, ensuring effective communication.
Pros:
I've been using Marketo Engage and it's been helpful for our email campaigns. This platform offers a variety of tools to properly target our audience, create emails with visually attractive landing pages and analyze the results of the campaign, this gives us a better visualization of performance. The best part is that it is quite intuitive, making it accessible to both new and advanced users.
Cons:
The cost can be high, which could be a concern for smaller businesses. Additionally, the wide range of features can be a bit daunting for newcomers as it takes some time to learn and get used to.
Pros and cons of Marketo Engage
Pros:
i like that the tool is scalable and has a load set of comprehensive features which helps us deal with email marketing and customer engagement.
Cons:
The user interface is relatively not friendly and might be challenging for new users.
Basic Use Cases are Great. Integrations with other systems, - less so
Comments: Basic use case has been great. Integrating with other systems - less so.
Pros:
Basic email marketing and marketing automation tasks can be accomplished with minimal assistance from the technical team.
Cons:
Pricing is by record in the DB, so you have to either pay for records that you are not doing anything with, or build a mechanism to move them in and out.Integrations with other systems are troublesome and rarely work as expected. For example, Microsoft Dynamics has a connector, but it only works if the record doesn't already exist in Marketo. Defining an audience in Dynamics for use in Marketo then has to be a hand-coded affair. Very annoying.

Pros:
I like that Marketo Engage is easy to use and effective in reaching a wide audience in email marketing and tracking engagements.
Cons:
The only downside is that customizing templates might require some level of expertise and experience.

Pros:
I like the easy to use solution which ensures marketing automation is possible and its easy to track marketing analytics
Cons:
The only issue is the delay in responsiveness from the customer support at times.

The learning curve is complex especially to people new to marketing.

Thanks to this tool we are able to save important resources and valuable time through its marketing automation features of tasks.

Its advanced customisation features have a high learning curve and require ample training and vendor support to use them appropriately.
Marketo Engage Is So Powerful and Accurate
Pros:
The accuracy of Marketo Engage makes it a top marketing automation solution. Marketo Engage has been so reliable.
Cons:
Marketo Engage does not have flaws. I do not dislike Marketo Engage at all.
Great email marketing tool with best in class functionalities and analytics
Comments: Overall its a great tool with powerful AI and analytics features.
Pros:
Market engage makes is very easy to send personalized emails targeting precision groups and with a specific time using AI. It has a variety of analytics tools available to generate meaningful reports and dashboards.
Cons:
Non technical people will find it difficult to setup and manage the system as it's a little complex for people with no IT background. The cost is a little bit on the higher side as well.
Marketo Engage Is a Reliable Marketing Solution
Pros:
Marketo Engage has effective capabilities. I like the friendliness of Marketo Engage.
Cons:
I do not dislike Marketo Engage at all. Marketo Engage is super amazing.
Alternatives Considered:
Very powerful, not the most user-friendly tool out there.
Comments: We rolled it out 3 years ago and have been very happy with it. There's been some frustration in the business at the turn-around time on Marketing Ops requests, but that's more of a staffing issue and because of the fact that it's not very easy for an end user to just jump in and setup a campaign on their own. If you have good permissions management, use of templates, and at least some experienced admin support it can be an extremely powerful and effective tool. It's not for the faint of heart.
Pros:
It is extremely powerful. But as Spider-Man says, with great power comes great responsibility. You definitely want someone who knows what they're doing managing this thing.
Cons:
Relatively high cost of ownership. I'd suggest it's best for enterprises or marketing requirements that call for very sophisticated automation. It's not easy for end users to do much self-service, so you'll definitely need an admin with experience. And depending on your workload one or multiple ops specialists up to an entire team.
Can't go wrong with the best MAP - but you need to spend time getting it how you like it
Comments: I've been using Marketo for over 2 years and have managed multiple instances, including implementing a new one. It's been great to learn and use. I came from HubSpot and although I loved HubSpot, it was limited in it's capabilities because things are locked down to look "pretty" and work more out-of-the-box. What I say is Marketo is for the "big kids"/enterprise/B2B market and HubSpot is more for the SMB market. Marketo also does well integrating with Salesforce, whereas HubSpot's API integration is very locked down and limited.
Pros:
What can't Marketo do? Not much! It's the be-all-do-all tool. Tons of features and customization, integrations and functionality.
Cons:
If you are looking for a "pretty" software, don't look here. The interface is dated and harder to navigate if you don't know what you are doing. I always tell people that "Marketo is UGLY, but it's POWERFUL." What it trades for looks, it makes up for in functionality and customizations.
Sophisticated software supporting your marketing automation needs
Pros:
The integration between Marketo Engage and SFDC is crucial to our business when determining our campaign audience, as well as tracking their interactions to understand customer behaviour.
Cons:
The platform is quite technical and not very intuitive. It is a steep learning curve.
I use Marketo Engage to supercharge my marketing campaigns and track results effortlessly.
Pros:
The easy-to-use interface and robust automation features make my marketing tasks a breeze.
Cons:
I wish the reporting and analytics features were more advanced and customizable for in-depth insights.
Marketo Engage has helped me streamline my marketing efforts and improve customer engagement.
Pros:
The software offers robust automation and personalization features, making it easier to nurture leads and drive conversions.
Cons:
The reporting and analytics features could be more user-friendly, as navigating through data can be overwhelming at times.
A little bit outdated but gets the done job
Comments: Marketo Engage has been our go-to E-mail tool for years and that probably won't change anytime soon. Overall a positive experience.
Pros:
Marketo is a powerhouse when it comes to our email marketing campaigns. We exclusively use this tool to create smart lists and templates for our email campaigns. It's relatively easy to use.
Cons:
Marketo Engage has a super outdated interface and a high learning curve for new users. I'd like to see the UI become a little more intuitive. Some of the features like "SEO" for example, are relatively limited in the data they provide.
Marketo Engage
Comments: My overall experience with Marketo Engage has been positive, as it provided a powerful marketing automation solution that enhanced our ability to deliver targeted campaigns and track their performance. Despite the initial complexity and cost considerations, it significantly contributed to our marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
Pros:
One aspect I liked most about Marketo Engage was its robust marketing automation capabilities, allowing for personalized and targeted marketing campaigns across multiple channels. The platform's advanced lead management, email marketing, and analytics features provided valuable insights and improved customer engagement.
Cons:
One drawback I experienced with Marketo Engage was the complexity of the platform, requiring a learning curve and technical expertise to fully leverage its functionalities. Additionally, the cost of the software and associated add-ons could be a deterrent for small businesses with limited marketing budgets.
Powerful marketing automation tool with a wide range of capabilities
Pros:
Definitely the wide range of features. From lead scoring and nurturing to email marketing, to hosting webinars, creating landing pages, and using forms, the platform has everything we need to execute complex campaigns and track our results. Integrations with a wide range of platforms and marketing tools are also a strong point of Marketo.
Cons:
I feel that there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using the platform. It's not the most intuitive system and it can take some time to get the hang of all the different tools and settings. Also, the user interface and some of the functionalities seem to be a bit old or outdated. The reporting section seems a bit complex and difficult to use. Difficult to keep the database healthy due to syncing errors with our CRM.
A Marketing Automation Tool with good functionality but not user-friendly
Comments: It was brutal
Pros:
It had the features essential for marketing automation
Cons:
The interface was not user friendly, and often you had to go into the code to make any changes in the pipeline
Marketo does a decent job with marketing campaigns; lackluster on the integrations and customization
Comments: Moderately positive; for smaller companies on a marketing budget who don't need more than email campaigns, this will work well for you. If you run an enterprise business who needs more, I suggest upgrading to Eloqua
Pros:
It was easy to setup and maintain our marketing campaigns; landing pages were customizable for the most part, and the tracking codes were easy to install and events triggered as promised. Cost is substantially less than premium marketing software, so that's a selling point.
Cons:
We migrated from Oracle/Eloqua, so we already had campaigns that we used. It was a total chore working with their teams to get everything carried over correctly (we never actually got every object, we had to re-create most). Most of the customization with batch jobs and custom fields didn't work as described in their documentation, and I got the feeling that they don't entertain a lot of big fish in the pond--maybe this has changed?
it is a comprehensive marketing automation platform designed to help businesses.
Comments: it is well-regarded by marketers and businesses due to its comprehensive set of features and benefits, and its ability to help businesses improve their engagement with their target audience, generate more leads and conversions, and measure the success of their marketing efforts.
Pros:
Marketo Engage is ideal for businesses of all sizes and across a range of industries, making it a flexible and versatile solution for modern marketers. The platform offers advanced segmentation and personalization capabilities, allowing marketers to target their messages to specific segments of their audience based on demographics, behaviors, and interests.
Cons:
Marketo Engage is not the most affordable marketing automation platform on the market. The cost can be a barrier for small businesses or those with limited marketing budgets. Some users have reported that Marketo Engage can be complex to use, particularly for those who are new to marketing automation. The platform's advanced features and capabilities may require a steep learning curve for some users.
Marketo is complete
Comments: The experience was positive, but it would be nice if they had a more user-friendly interface for news users.
Pros:
It is a complete tool that offers everything you need from a marketing point of view, be it lead score, automations, email blasts, a/b testing, custom forms, etc.
Cons:
Its interface is old and not very intuitive. It requires training and is definitely not the easiest to use. The price is also high.
Marketo Engage Review
Comments: I'm now able to track leads all the way through the funnel and see what content is working and what isn't. I've also seen a lot more engagement with my content since implementing Marketo Engage.
Pros:
The feature that has had the most impact on my business is the ability to send automated emails personalized for each customer. The product is very easy to use, and I was able to integrate it with my existing business processes very easily.
Cons:
The Marketo Engage product is amazing and has a lot of features that can be difficult to use. However, with the help of their amazing customer service, I were able to overcome any obstacle and make Marketo Engage work for my business.
Marketo Engage for Online Education Marketing
Comments: Overall, it provides our marketing team with options to move their leads through the enrollment funnel, but, I wouldn’t recommend to a team with limited coding experience. Customer support can be hit or Miss with copy and past article responses that may not answer your question, but working directly with your CSM when a case is submitted provides for faster resolution.
Pros:
The ability to control specific Al details and changes within campaigns that guides lead pipeline and advertising behavior.
Cons:
Powerful analytics tools - leaves much to be desired. Also, must landing page template building capabilities for a marketer may require someone with at least a moderate understanding of HTML.
My experience with Marketo
Pros:
Marketo is a great marketing tool that allows automating repetitive marketing activities. I am using Marketo since 4 years. We use it to improve our lead generation process and we integrated Marketo with Salesforce. We are using Marketo Forms embedded on our website to get the personal information, track the activities done by leads and notify the sales reps. We are able to track campaigns (members are synced to Salesforce campaigns) and lead sources to measure effectiveness of marketing activities. We created a series of program templates that can be replicated to manage events, webinars, newsletters or email blastings. Cloning the templates all our marketers can start a new program easily customizing just the details, without errors and saving time. I want to mention a powerful feature that I use daily - smart lists - they allows to target a specific audience and continuously been fed with new members that match the criteria.
Cons:
- Integration with MS Dynamics: we started with MS dynamics CRM and the integration is not seamless as the integration with Salesforce. We had unresolved issues for 3 years until we decided to move our CRM to Salesforce. - Consulting Services: we started our project with direct Marketo consulting services but our project manager was not responsive and we had the impression that each PM had too many customers to manage and do not have the time to dedicate the right effort to each project. For this reason, we moved our project to an external consultant firm and the results are much better. - Support: the response time of the standard support is not quick and usually it takes some days to resolve it. - Landing pages: it is missing a validation workflow on the thank you pages (to be sure that those who will access the thank you page have successfully filled-out the form included in the landing page) - Reporting: the reports are very basics
