Seems to have all the basic functions a CRM should have. But in the most convulated way known to man. > > **Cons**: A rather long list. 1. Manual release of scheduling if youd like to do a specific release timing. You have to PHYSICAL PRESS A BUTTON in order to have a schedule released at a specific time and date. In a world where CRMS allow you to prebuild a schedule and release it at a specific time and date that you select, having to PHYSICAL PRESS A RELEASE BUTTON makes absolutely no sense. 2. A membership system that makes no sense. Clients arent able to suspend their membership and book for a class until the day the membership is unsuspended. IE if a client suspends a membership until 16th they cannot book for a class on the 17th until the day of the 16th actually arrives. This makes no sense whatsoever when a simple code can fix this. 3. Over promises a products functions. I was sold a Cross Regional product with the promise that my clients can book across studios seamlessly. They could not book without 10 million manual inputs and believe me it was not seamless. After numerous attempts by them to fix it. It to this day is not fixed and they will not let me leave the platform even after being proven that their solution is not work. When told of the issues I am told : " Thats a known limitation and is on the roadmap". No such thing was limitation was made known to me prior to signing. This list can go on and on and on. If youre reading this and have a desire to have multiple studios or a product that is easy to use / manage. DO NOT USE MINDBODY. > > It worked until it didnt. MINDBODY only allows for one standard liability waiver at initial sign-up. Since our studio offers multiple services, including injectables and other wellness treatments, we need separate waivers, and manually managing them adds extra work. Customers will go on Mindbody to find local gyms, yoga studios, etc... > > **Cons**: The salesman who sold me my subscription wasn't honest and straightforward with me. Customer service is painfully slow. > > Please be careful when dealing with Mindbody, you are signing a year long contract and if they give you the impression that you can get out of it, I'm proof that you can't. You'll talk to a nice, professional person during your first phone call who (at least in my case) will tell you what you want to hear in order to sign the contract. Once I started getting into the set up, I started to realize that it was an extremely long process (onboarding can take up to 8 weeks) and that I wasn't going to get what I thought I would and that it takes a painfully long time to get answers. I tried to cancel but they won't let me. On that first phone call, when I asked about cancelling if things didn't go well, Sam (sales rep) made it seem like if I tried to cancel then they would give me a sales pitch but eventually would let me out of my contract which isn't true. I filed a BBB complaint that they never responded to, which in all of the reviews I've left in my lifetime on BBB, no American company has failed to respond. Btw, my BBB complaint requesting termination of my contract was 8 days after I signed my contract with Mindbody, so it's not like I used them for 5 months. I haven't scheduled a single customer with them or had a single onboarding session with them. You may be reading this wondering why I signed a contract for something I didn't totally understand, that's because it's way too complicated to understand up front. Just think about it, Mindbody onboarding can take up to 2 months before you can fully use it, it's that complicated. What are the chances you're going to understand everything during the initial sales call. You have to pay for a year ($1200), and then get into the system to understand everything, which once again, takes a very long time. And I just did a Google search, it appears their sales staff make commission, which imo incentivizes this behavior. ----- ### "Mind Body review from a Senior Living Community" — 5.0/5 > **Zachary** | *2 March 2026* | Recreational Facilities & Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: The analytics breakdowns are very helpful. I have appreciated AI chat for quick assistance with finding where to access or change little things on the site. The simple check in app for class attendees works well for my fitness center. > > **Cons**: On our branded app had some changes made with an update (we did not choose this). This removed some of the most important features for my community (heartrate tracking). Two factor authentication was also installed. I see the need for online security, but I work in a retirement community, and this update has kept nearly all of our folks from using our branded app. We used to be able to log people into a tablet and let them track their workout with a heart rate monitor. > > Mindbody has provided valuable analytics for my community. As we move forward with offering new services, MB already has the ability to schedule them and track payments.
