> **Pros**: Genetec Security Center is a really solid platform if you need everything connected in one place. It’s great having video surveillance, access control, and alarms all managed through one system instead of jumping between different programs. It’s reliable, has strong security features, and once you understand the layout, it’s easy to monitor and respond to things quickly.

> **Cons**: It’s definitely not the easiest system to learn at first — there’s a lot to take in, and it can feel a bit overwhelming for new users. The setup and licensing costs are also on the higher side, so it’s probably better suited for larger operations. I’ve also noticed that performance can depend a lot on your hardware setup.

> Overall, I’ve had a good experience with Genetec Security Center. It’s dependable, well-designed, and makes day-to-day security management smoother once you’re familiar with it. It takes some patience in the beginning, but the reliability and centralized control make it worth it in the long run.

> **Cons**: Some of the lookback functionality of stored security footage can be a bit delayed depending upon your connection speed and other system bandwidth, but overall not a major concern.
> 
> Use it daily to assist in monitoring our security camera feeds, using various types of views for both inside and outside our venue. Allows us to monitor multiple angles and camera positions simultaneously on a single monitor view.

> **Pros**: Security Center is a one stop shop for video controls, license plate reader data, analytics, and access control. I have never received any formal training, but as one of our administrators, it has been very simple to navigate without formal training.

> **Cons**: The two negatives I can think of are the initial upfront cost and the complexities with the initial set up of our system.

> Overall I’ve been pretty happy with it, as it has allowed us to unify several different types of cameras into one searchable database.
