Finally, a tool that can detect and mark the annoying sibilants. Melodyne has saved me a lot of time spent on cleaning and muffling down sibilants. I can now easily optimize our vocal recordings and even put some emphasis on sibilants. Another essential feature that comes with Melodyne is the ability to fade individual notes. This has been very effective in normalizing the audios which have the occasional laughter outbursts that make the peaks go wild during casual podcast interviews. > > **Cons**: As with any great piece of art, Melodyne took me a while to understand it. For effective use, I had to learn how to read the pitch curve. Of course this happened whenever i used the insert on track option to insert audio in Melodyne. Happily, Sound Forge has ARA capabilities and my working with Melodyne has been greatly improved.
