> **Pros**: The elasticity that the Amazon Elastic Load Balancer offers is unparalleld. You can distribute the load of any workload between different ec2 instances and thus improve the performance of the application.

> **Cons**: It should have extensive logging enabled so that any issue with the Load balancer can be troubleshooted easily.

> I have been using Amazon Elastic Load Balancer for heavy traffic websites and mission critical applications and it works very fine. It is also very useful for auto-scaling. Overall, it helps a lot for achieving speed and uptime of application.

> The benefits and goals of a load balancer are pretty straightforward. No surprises in here.But it is really convenient to have it as one of the fundamental pieces that you can use to set your Cloud Infrastructure. From the security and performance point of view, it makes its task pretty well and allows for elasticity on the services being constructed by isolating the back pieces of the architecture.
