> **Pros**: In our company it is essential to keep security standards high whilst not letting the user experience drop to nightmare level. SSO is an essential companion that synchronizes smoothly (and most of the times, silently, without the user even noticing it) with our company's domain server, generating and managing a series of passwords for third party secure applications (e.g. Exchange, SAP, VPN software, and so on) saving the users the headache of having to remember countless complex passwords. One password to rule them all.

> **Cons**: The service sometimes fails to recognize when an application starts or a website presents the user with a login prompt. In this case, most of the times it's just a matter of restarting SSO software to get it to work again. It occurs very rarely, but in the worst cases it is necessary to enter the credential manually. Although, as I said, it is a very rare scenario, and I'm not even sure if it's a SSO issur or rather a configuration problem on our company's side.

> Smoothless, painless, and easy\! And this is the exact job a single sign-on should be doing: being invisible and helping users accessing company services.
