For $9.99, you get access to around 250 apps. These are high-value apps from reputable companies and are sold for a lot of money in their own right. From Setapp, I use CleanMyMac, TextSniper, SideNotes, Dropzone, Pagico, Ulysses, etc.. > > **Cons**: There are too many apps to choose from, I would say. Like a kid in a toy-store. > > CleanMyMac is invaluable on my Mac, keeping my systems nice and fast. This app is $89 to buy outright alone. ----- ### "No customer service" — 1.0/5 > **Craig** | *28 October 2025* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 1.0/10 > > **Pros**: The apps are great, and they are easy to install - used this for years and installed a number of the apps which I will miss now that I've had to cancel my subscription due to poor customer service and overcharging. > > **Cons**: Had to stop using this when a billing issue (they were charging us for three services when we only used one) was not handled by them. In fact, they just stopped responding to the support thread and so I had to block them on my card to stop them from overcharging me. > > I've had years of great experience with Setapp apps, but their customer service is severly lacking. Overcharging and a lack of response to a request to review meant I had to block my accounts with setapp. I will miss the apps. ----- ### "The Swiss army knife of apps" — 5.0/5 > **Simon** | *23 July 2025* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Where to start? You get more than a hundred top-rated apps, curated by experts as well as users, available for a very reasonable monthly subscription. If you own a Mac and run any kind of business, are a student or a developer, you will find a full suite of practically everything you will need sans the full Office or iWork (Keynote etc.) packages. And if the app has an iOS version, odds are that it is included as well. > > **Cons**: I haven't really found anything not to like. Th service could be expanded with more how-to's and ideas for combining apps in an efficient manner, but that is really outside the price range that Setapp has placed itself in. > > I wouldn't want to work on any Mac (or computer at all) without access to Setapp. It is simply the best money you can spend on software. ----- ### "Setapp Review" — 4.0/5 > **Chris** | *21 October 2024* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: One subscription for a wide range of tools and apps for your Mac > > **Cons**: New app releases are slowing down with tool much emphasis on AI tools with addition costs. > > I have been with Setapp for years. There are a few subscription apps that together would normally cost more than the Setapp subscription. If you need these Setapp is no-brainer. ----- ### "Great Option if you are using or planning to use the software they offer anyway" — 5.0/5 > **Verified Reviewer** | *9 February 2024* | Professional Training & Coaching | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: Setapp has a great selection of software. It functions like an alternative App Store for MacOS, but even has some apps on offer for iOS. There are regularly new apps added and most are high quality polished offers. > > **Cons**: Most of the offers are paid apps that I used to buy directly from the developers. A number have switched to subscriptions. Setapp bundles those into one subscription, and depending on what software offers you use or plan to use this can save you a lot of dough. I figured out I could save money with this service. I use timing for tracking my working hours and rely on a VPN on my travels, both are included in Setapp and in the end I am spending less money on the same (or similar) functions in more areas than these two applications. > > Setting up Setapp (what a terrible way to start a sentence\!) was as simple as downloading the app and installing it on MacOS like any other software and signing up with their service like you would with any other web service. They have lots of ways to pay, giving you options there too. Installing an iOS app offered by Setapp is also straight forward - they guide you through this process from the MacOS app. ----- Page: 1 / 3\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.com.sg/software/187915/setapp?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.com.sg/software/187915/setapp) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | es | | | es-AR | | | es-CL | | | es-CO | | | es-CR | | | es-DO | | | es-EC | | | es-MX | | | es-PA | | | es-PE | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | it | | | ja | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | | pt | | | pt-PT | | | sv | | ----- ## Structured Data
