But... it sound good. > > **Cons**: Expensive licenses that turn out to be annual licenses. Additional features are required as plug-ins subject to a charge. Themes are also subject to a charge and must be renewed on an ongoing basis to ensure that they are compatible with the software version. Plugins often get in their own way. If you successfully activate one feature, another does not work. However, errors rarely appear... it simply doesn't work without you noticing it. Really great in e-commerce\! The developers usually reject the blame. So you can communicate the errors using CS-Cart and plugin developer A and plugin developer B. Because you have to have time for something like that. > > We wanted to expand our e-commerce business to CS-Cart MultiVendor. At the beginning we were convinced by the experience and the features. So we purchased a lifetime license for EUR 7,000. Important: At that time we did not realize that Lifetime at CS-Cart means that you can only use the software - but not update it forever. This requires an additional annual license (~ EUR 3,000). The basic features are remarkable, yes. But there are also other rules for the EU that do not cover the basic features. For example, no general terms and conditions or withdrawal notices are automatically provided. Basic prices are not calculated automatically (for variants). These are all things that pop up gradually and always require additional plugins (for money) or adjustments. We tried to work with several storefronts. The configuration causes only one (1) storefront to be visible in the index in terms of SEO. All other storefronts are kicked out of the index. All in all, a disaster for any business. No. Sorry about that. This software can no longer be recommended. Too expensive. Too fragile. Too unreliable. The fact that the software is installed on our own server and there are no limits or extra fees based on users, etc like other online markets makes it easy to justify the upfront costs. There is a lot of flexibility with add-ons and a community of developers behind CS-Cart that allow us to make the marketplace our own. The documentation is also very good allowing for quick answers to our problems. For the couple add-ons that we did need to get developed the process was imple and the rates were reasonable. > > **Cons**: Currently the importing of products is very robust and I feel we have not yet fully understood how this all works, but this is just a matter of us getting through that learning curve.
