Great product
, great technical team, knowledgeable staff, really cool interface, wide verity of hardware and 3rd Party integration. My favorite part choose any credit card processor you want. Not many can say that
Pros:
Support is amazing, the interface is great, the ability to customize the features and look and feel of the software based on what system we are installing. We can do full service with buster, hostess and reservation to a Arbys drive thru and quick service counter with kitchen monitors. Comes in both a SaaS and I think it’s one of few if not the last that you can actually buy it.
Cons:
I honestly don’t have one, we install many softwares and this software just works, installs easy, setup is easy (tedious but you get out what you put in)
Nice value and easy to learn.
Comments: The MicroSale system is good for small to medium restaurants. There are some quirks: my servers have learned not to add gratuity until the very end. The same is true for splitting checks ... it gets glitchy if you add things after. The customer support is really helpful. They have saved us after a power outage that lost all our data. Overall a good system.
Pros:
Easy to use. Good for new servers. Not too expensive.
Cons:
Sometimes it struggles with split checks with large parties. You yet have to learn the work arounds for the glitches.

Thank you for your review. The gratuity floats which means the gratuity increases as the check total increases. You may have an older version that does not include that feature. We would also like to learn more about your issues with split checks - in the past year we have added additional flexibility to splitting checks such as touching multiple items (instead of individually) to add to a new check, the ability to split single items unlimited times and then combine items again that were accidentally split. Since we are not an ISO or credit card provider directly, we do charge for 24/7 support when customers use our direct services. I sincerely apologize for the issues and we want to get your site working correctly as soon as possible. Please email [email protected] and we will have a technician immediately look into your issues.
The only POS system that cannot add correctly
Comments: I would normally interface with my Microsale dealer, in this case, he could not get the problem fixed through Microsale. He recommended I do the $900 upgrade so Microsale is more likely to address the math problems in the latest version. When I went direct to Microsale (I'm working directly with Tracey Bodden Training Coordinator), he says the system "balances perfectly". However, he confirms my system is mixing CC transactions with cash transactions, which creates a Net Cash Due on each shift that cannot be the correct cash. So my overall experience with Microsale customer service is pretty F'ing crappy.
Pros:
Ease of use. quick transaction without many touch selections can be used
Cons:
I have been showing MicroSale for 10 months now that their system does not add correctly. It was recommended to upgrade to their lastest version for an additional $900 to get their attention for the best support. Note I was only 1 version back but I paid for the upgrade. 10 months later, and the system still does not add correctly. I was told directly from Microsale that my bartenders can pull money from their pockets to manually balance the drawer. Huh? There should be no money shifting from employees pockets to the house funds, or vice versa. I paid for the upgrade and the POS still cannot add correctly. MicroSale has removed accountability regarding keeping cash straight. If you cannot trust your POS system (both me and my employees no longer trust the system), then it makes as much sense to use a cigar box like they did 100 years ago. The system has had a history of problems since I started using it, including losing credit card transactions in the past (without the system notifying of any errors), I problem that I complained about for months before it was corrected. The problem with Microsale is you don't know how much money your business is losing. When there is any problem with balancing the cash now, the POS system is blamed by employees, so there is no longer accountability because they have a point regarding the POS does not add correctly.
Use Microsale!!!!!
Comments: Our Company had Microsale installed from the first day we opened and it has been great. The system is very easy to use and it does include support with the package that was included for our company. Sometimes you have to leave a message with a description of your problem, but someone does call you back and try and help fix any issue you are having. The menu is very user friendly and employees are able to pick it up very quickly. A couple of items I do want them to fix on Microsale machines are ... The time the order is due to the customer should be printed on the kitchen ticket and any dessert items should show up on the kitchen ticket as well. Right now there is no time due on the tickets and the dessert items ordered do not print out on the kitchen ticket with the rest of the order.
Pros:
Software is very user friendly.
Cons:
Some items did not print on the ticket ... like time order is due to the customer.
We used this POS system at a bar and restaurant I worked at during summers the last two years
Pros:
I don't have another POS system to compare to, but this one worked great. I mainly tended bar so what I needed was to start and close out tabs, store credit cards for regulars, and do it all quickly and easily. This program did that. Also very easy to customize buttons and button locations for food add-ons or menu changes. Great customer service, our rep would answer phone calls at all hours and was helpful.
Cons:
In general it had a steep learning curve, as would most of these types of programs I'd wager. Lots of areas of the program that I never used, so it felt bulky and dense and confusing. Would occasionally crash causing absolute mayhem on a busy Friday night and we would have to wait until Monday morning for the guy to come fix it. Cash only!
