Deputy facilitates employee scheduling
Comments: Having a nearby application that makes use of our technology makes it all the more valuable. In particular, the team's knowledge opportunities for Vice customers are fantastic. I consider the time and effort invested learning and mastering Deputy to be worthwhile, even if I am already an advanced user.
Pros:
Other scheduling tools I've tried were either impractical or too difficult to learn and utilize. Deputy is the best scheduling software I have used, and I have tried a few. It's easy to get the hang of, navigate, and succeed in.
Cons:
Turns off the door/window alarm. This quality is unnecessary, and the numerous safety precautions might be frustrating. Alter the range of colors available inside the span. The app's request and route customization features are user-friendly.
Good for startups
Comments: it was great, but all that needs to change is the save feature
Pros:
Loved the group chat feature so we could communicate before adding shifts
Cons:
Very hard to create schedule without wiping the previous version
Cross it off your list of potential payroll providers
Comments: Woeful. Save yourself the time and trouble and pick something else - Keypay is a great option and probably the next option for us.

Customer service canned responses SCHADS Interpretation that is different to the award Errors in the software that are ignored - and then they start quoting the terms and conditions to me when I kick up about it So many inconsistencies in the product and they don't care

Pros:
I absolutely love the online time clock and schedule feature. It also helps me keep track of a large team across multiple locations. My labor has never been more accurate. This is a great product with fair pricing.
Cons:
Importing to my payroll system was a little difficult at first but with support we worked out the kinks.

Pros:
I have to create rosters, manage timesheets, monitor lot of activities including labour percentages and all and deputy provides such an easy and user friendly way of doing all that I do. Copying and pasting shifts is a joy. Overall user experience is great for me.
Cons:
Not that I remember in specific. However, total labour cost tracking mechanism like Employment Hero's would be a plus.

Comments: Overall great, and the staff love it.
Pros:
Deputy is very user-friendly and well-designed for users at every level. We love the app the the accessibility that it offers (and is expected by) our staff. The onboarding feature is great - it has really streamlined our onboarding process.
Cons:
The newsfeed is handy but lacks functionality; you can attach a document, but we REALLY need a place to store company documents such as policies and handbooks so they can be easily referred to by staff (we currently have to email them). In order to meet the key needs of the customers, Deputy should implement this feature ASAP - please!!

Comments: It solved a really great problem for my company, since the program I was using before didn't help me to monitor the time clock.

Really easy to use it, friendly interface and great customer service.
Cons:
That it doesn't remember the hours we set and if they're different from the ones programmed we can't do anything about it

Great Product
Comments: Great experience, I'd definitely recommend it.
Pros:
It's a really great App if you have a company and the team. Deputy helps to organise many things within an organization. It allows managers to send the schedules, approve staff anual leave requests, see and share news feed within a company and a few other beneficial features.
Cons:
We have no complains about this product.
Bringing law and order to your employee attendance.
Pros:
Really simple interface, which allowed majority of colleagues to learn the system without too much onboarding. The mobile app allowed easy clocking in/out.
Cons:
Whilst the mobile app was good, the it did occasionally have a delay in reading GPS information which caused issues with reporting, as it showed employees clocking in, in incorrect locations.

Easy to use and mobile friendly, great application for scheduling

Missing a help feature that is easy to navigate
Very bad customer service
Comments: Average. Clunky. Doesn't upload or reload screens reliably.
Pros:
Scheduling and timesheets. Seeing who is on shift.
Cons:
Customer Service. Once you finally get through to someone there knowledge of Deputy is very limited, and most repeat what you can read off Deputy's website. They can't answer anything even slightly remotely complex. The phone support is a farce. A box ticking exercise to say they have it, it would seem.

All the steps look very straightforward and easily to handle.

Not much assistance after becoming a client

I like the way you can switch between week, two weeks and a month in the schedule, also the way you request leaves and absence in general, it's very easy to work with the software. Also the location log in tracking is a great feature.
Cons:
I have not found anything the bothers me in the software so far.

Comments: Great system, easy mobile use, lot's of features with great support. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a small to large business that wants to manage their workforce with ease.

There is nothing really that we don't like. It is so easy and practical
Deputy for rostering and payroll is effective and efficient
Comments: Deputy has helped with simplifying rostering, award interpretation, communicating business essential info to staff, payroll, and recording staff details. Not everything is 100% perfect, but I've yet to come across a better integrated solution.
Pros:
Award interpretation takes the guesswork out of paying employees correctly. Notifications when awards update makes it easy to keep up to date with rates and penalties.Rostering is simple, and allows staff to attempt to cover their own shifts is required.

Some auto shift creation functions could be easier to set up I guess

Comments: Haven't had any issues as it is user friendly overall

It's good for tracking exactly how long you've been working, and showing who else in the organisation is working or on break.
Cons:
Editing annual leave requests is almost impossible and it doesn't give the requester an opportunity to cancel the leave if they no longer need it.
Deputy helps me keep track of my work schedule and clock in and out easily.

Easy to use and convenient for managing shifts, timesheets, and communication.

Occasional glitches with the mobile app and limited reporting features.

Pros:
Scheduling and product is very user friendly. I love the mobile access especially when I am out of the office. The timesheets are very easy to use. Set up is extremely easy.
Cons:
#1 complain is Deputy does not notify the admin when a scheduled person drops their shift.

Deputy enables a communication path between myself and all my staff easily and efficiently.

Great UI/UX and Easy to use
Pros:
Scheduling was a breeze, approving shifts and managing payroll was simple as well. Integrated well with our payroll software. The best thing was the UI though I have looked at multiple scheduling softwares but they were too complicated to use. My employees could trade shifts with such ease and I could approve them as well. All in all a comprehensive app and website.
Cons:
It wasn't very easy to find employee and put in their pay info etc. Otherwise didn't find any cons.
