Robust MDM

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Overall I am very happy with the service. Because of its robust feature set it can be a little confusing initially but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty straightforward to use.

Pros:

I love that it offers robust solutions for all OS and platforms. It is relatively easy for one technology fluent individual to setup and deploy. The free trial is generous and provides full access to all features. It tightly integrates with Google Workspace.

Cons:

Some of the support documentation needs to be updated. The web interface can be a little confusing, and some feature menus can be difficult to locate. For about half my devices it was necessary to go through the enrollment process two times to get good results. Medium level learning curve.

Alternatives Considered: Scalefusion

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: ManageEngine MDM has a more complete feature set than the others I tried.

Superb Customer Service Experience with Manage Engine

4.0 last month New

Comments: Manage Engine's customer service is among the best I have ever encountered. Every team member has understood my request and answered my questions promptly, or identified a team member who can. The product is extremely easy to deploy and use.

Pros:

First, it's simplicity. It took minutes to setup the service on the first device, and only a few hours to learn the system well enough to develop policies for use in our business.

Cons:

There were a few occasions where I had to contact customer service to explain an issue I thought could be found in the documentation, but wasn't. But the customer service team is excellent, so this was less of a problem than it could have been.

Alternatives Considered: Google Workspace

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: Because it has more features and a free trial.

Good MDM for a medium-sized company

3.0 8 months ago

Comments: Overall it is a good product that does the job, I would recommend the service.

Pros:

Application deployments on both Android and IOS

Cons:

The first steps with the application. It is not very intuitive and to enrol iOS devices that had not been purchased by Apple Business was quite complicated.

Alternatives Considered: Microsoft Intune

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: For the price and for having other ManageEngine products

Good product for what you get

4.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: It has been great and I have very few negatives

Pros:

That it is free for 25 devices and it includes app deployment

Cons:

If you are not a paid customer, you cannot get adequate support using the product, you have to be a paid customer or if not you can only use the self help tools

Alternatives Considered: Miradore Management Suite

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: The ability to deploy applications and not having to be on the paid version

A great MDM - Worth the move from our MS product

4.0 10 months ago

Pros:

The settings and abilities are, so far, lightyears beyond what Intune was able to do, in terms of locking down devices and making them both more manageable and more secure.

Cons:

Importing devices from one MDM to this new platform is a bit clunky and not necessarily intuitive, however their Support team, who was available by chat right on the same screen, was a huge boon and was ready with screenshots and clear directions.

Great Platform to Manage Devices

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall it's a very good platform for managing the devices and enrolling the new devices as well as managing policies. The mdm mobile app is also very intuitive to users.

Pros:

Very easy to use once you get used to the platform. It's well designed and well maintained. Even adding policies is very simple to use.

Cons:

Figuring out how to get started was a little time consuming. Especially how to upload apk, how to distribute the apk, etc. But once we understood, it became very easy.

Very powerful management system

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: We needed to manage locking down and deploying apps to multiple cell phones. This product does that and so much for more us.

Pros:

The product has a plethora of features. It is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. This is something that many products don't have. Support is very responsive.

Cons:

The interface is a bit confusing. You have to go "fishing" to find where various settings are because there is a quite a bit of duplication throughout the interface. Several of the tabs along the top should be combined.

Great content managment

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Really good experience, managed to learn all I needed from the documentation (although some links are a little outdated)

Pros:

We are considering moving 100 mobile licenses to Manage Engine's MDM from another MDM solely for the content management features. No one else seemed to have what we were looking for. Content stored on the cloud, I can assign it to groups and add devices to those groups, so that only the devices I want receive the content they need (we use during Language Exams, with multiple exams happening at the same time, it was a nightmare to manually upload the files to each devices, to then have to clear them and reupload files between exams

Cons:

Not much yet, still in a trial phase, haven't found anything that our previous MDM had that this doesn't? For now having trouble finding a better way to manage the home screen layout, but I see it being a feature for the Pro version, so I might just need to unlock that yet

Alternatives Considered: Jamf Pro and OneDrive

Reasons for Choosing ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: Content Management. Asked JAMF and there was nothing they could do, but Manage Engine have exactly what we were looking for!

Guided set-up, easy to understand and use.

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Easy to set-up and deploy. Easy to cross-train personal to manage.

Pros:

Setting up a new MDM can be challenging. ManageEngine's MDM was easy to set-up as a stand-alone product. The steps were carefully explained to help guide the process of setting up needed accounts to assist with getting iPads managed and supervised.

Cons:

Love the Remote View feature, but of course Remote Control would be better. Right!

Alternatives Considered: Jamf Pro

Reasons for Choosing ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus: Ease of Use, $$$

Mobile Device Management Review

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: At this point I have no complaints over ManageEngine's overall service and look forward to working with them in the future.

Pros:

It was very easy to use apple business manager along with the mobile device management system to enroll as well as distripute apps to my companies Ipads. We will be continuing to monitor our Ipads through their system as our company grows.

Cons:

There wasn't anything I overly disliked about the software, I found the free trial period was pretty short other then asking for extensions which I found ManageEngine to be very good about. I am also at a smaller company and only managing 10 devices at this point however they charge for a minimum of 26 devices once the trial period is over.

Fine MDM to use

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: It was pretty positive when it worked and offered more than we needed.

Pros:

It has a lot of features for the price. Amazing options available that you have to pay a lot more for from other vendors for example containerizing is something that was great to find on it since most do not have it. Kiosk mode, works with all major platforms, black and white list options auditing reports and asset management were all options we liked.

Cons:

It did not consistently push software out to users and it was cluttered for the interface.

Does what we need it to do. While alittle rough around some edges, this MDM shines by its features.

4.0 7 years ago

Comments: The ability to manage our mobile devices effectively and efficiently in a work and school environment.

Pros:

Easy to setup with a relatively straightforward dashboard layout. Where as a handful of other MDMs I have trialed are a bit overly-feature rich and have awkwardly placed menus, ManageEngine's MDM layout is one that makes sense, and integrates all of the things that a school district like ours needs. While trialing this product on a half dozen android tablets, they were a breeze to lock down, and we were able to group them up and drill down and apply policies on group and individual basis' with out too much struggle at all. Geo-tracking, Android Apps for Work Integration, individualized and group-based app approval, but also curating a custom app store, swift QR Enrollments, and user assigning are all big things we need in a MDM. And of course, a few hidden gems like the web clips, and the integrated remote monitoring are wonderful additions to a otherwise comprehensive device management platform.

Cons:

Only a couple concerns with the product itself. For some, the policy profile layout can be a bit overwhelming for some. We only have 5 schools, but certain things require a new profile for each minor change, like 1 profile for each WiFi profile you have to deploy, and each webclip requires its own as well. While straight forward, it can get make the profiles page a bit messy as you keep adding on to them, and should changes need to be made, going back between them can take a bit of time. Small thing, but a critique none the less. Another small critique is we had some issues connecting via the remote monitoring. Either it's our network or the service, but we were only able to get it working a couple times, and it requires a couple steps of user interaction to start the session more than I would like. The only noteworthy concern I experienced, & I will speak with a Customer Service rep for more info, is that I experienced a policy / app syncing issues on more than 1 occasion during deployment. During initial enrollments, I had instances where apps did not get downloaded to the devices, I had policy's that would not refresh despite manually refreshing them on the tablets themselves, and twice when I decided to remote wipe the device, the device did not wipe, despite it marked as removed from the console - where I then had to manually remove the mdm app from the tablet itself via a override code.

Excelente Solution, Value for Money and Very Good Tech Support

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I would summarize my experience in a few words "Smooth and seamless Operation". The enrolment was easy to handle, especially when there is a good number of devices. Training for other users was very easy, and today an administrative employee manages the basic features and enrolment. The solution has been stable throughout the time of service.

Pros:

Great good features that most MDM/EMM solutions have, excellent web-based managing consoles, good customer support very easily reachable by chat, everything at a convenient price.

Cons:

Reports have space for improvement. Even though it provides good pre-configured reports, many times flexible and SQL-like interaction is valued by IT Managers. This becomes relevant during this age of data analysis and data mining to improve the enterprise mobility operation of the organization.

Command Centre for IT Admins

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

ManageEngine Desktop Central has helped us streamline and secure our network endpoints. The software offers a wide range of features, including patch management, software deployment, remote control, and more, that have made a significant impact on our IT operations. We especially appreciate the software's automation capabilities, which save us time and reduce the risk of security breaches.Additionally, we found the software to be reasonably user-friendly. The interface is mostly intuitive and well-designed, and we were able to start using it with some training. As far as I know we did not integrate it with other systems so I cannot comment on that.

Cons:

The software can be a bit overwhelming at first due to its comprehensive feature set. The software's MacOS and Linux agent deployment could be more user-friendly for end user self-install. Anyway, these do not detract from the overall effectiveness and usefulness of the software.

Effective but setup is complex

4.0 10 months ago

Comments: Overall it's been a decent experience. I'm a one person IT department for a relatively large organization with a LOT of shared devices, so having a management system is helpful, but I just haven't had enough time to sit down and really figure out how to get the most out of it. It's pretty user friendly, but not necessarily super time effective.

Pros:

ManageEngine customer service is amazing, they're very polite, helpful and responsive. The system itself works well, it has a lot of features and is relatively easy to navigate.

Cons:

The process of getting set up is somewhat complex, but I think that's true of most similar systems. I would like more base configurations, but they're not too hard to create once you've got the hang of it. There aren't a ton of options for managing Apple devices, but that's more of an Apple problem than anything else.

The MDM software I have been searching for is ManageEngine

5.0 last year

Comments: I have been searching for a MDM solution and have tried all the big names, and I am happy I found ManageEngine and Zoho. I have been looking for a comprehensive, multi-OS software package.

Pros:

MobileEngine's MDM Plus is comprehensive. It has the features I need and gives me the help and documentation to implement it. I am impressed and satisfied with the free trial and expect to fully implement this in my organization - along with other Zoho ManageEngine products. I have been searching for the MDM software that has the features I need, and here it is.

Cons:

Interface can seem a little too stale, could use a refreshed design. I can't make use of every feature but that is a limitation of my hardware not about MDM Plus.
