> **Pros**: EPrints is freely available to download and run yourself, or equally there is are well established service providers who can support you.
It offers a very configurable system, allowing both visual and metadata aspects to be tuned to your needs.
> 
> **Cons**: None really, it does exactly what it sets out to do.  It can appear initially as hard to set up, but there is a strong technical community who can support you, and once it is up and running it remains very stable.
> 
> EPrints once set up offers a light weight and highly configurable repository. The normal use case is for Open Access Publications, but it can be tuned to curate and share digital objects and their associated metadata as needed.
