Reviews of Asana

Great task manager
Comments: Overall good experience, room for improvement. Being able to set up email alerts for example to notify customers when a task assigned to him has been completed. It is very much focused on collaboration within a company, but should be extended to collaboration with external customers.
Pros:
It has a very generous free plan, sufficient for most basic needs. Great task manager, the best I've tried so far and there have been a few.
Cons:
The biggest drawback is that in order to upgrade to a paid plan you have to buy at least TWO licences. There are many of us who work alone and paying twice is no fun at all. Being able to further customise things like notifications.
An easy to use PM app
Comments: One of the big challenges in by work is getting all the stakeholders on projects to work on common platforms. I've used Asada as the go-to app for all projects, with integration with Google Workspace and Slack in particular really useful. It helps to plan and review progress on projects, and allows you to run projects in either agile or waterfall formats. It's also not too complicated, there are various subecription levels that give you access to the features that you need
Pros:
Quick and easy to setupAllows collaboration with clients and partners Integrates well with Google Workspaces, Slack etc
Cons:
I've become so used to Asana that there's nothing the bugs me now. It's perfectly suited to planning and running technical projects
Alternatives Considered: Smartsheet
Reasons for Choosing Asana: I preferred the integration options with Asana, and Basecamp became too expensive
Switched From: Basecamp
Reasons for Switching to Asana: I had a specific requirement in mind when I evaluated the options, and Asana was able to deliver on all counts. I setup a free trial and then kept on using it
Terrible Service - Avoid at all cost! Go to other options (e.g. Clickup, etc.), or you'll regret it
Comments: Teririble, we have switched since then and found software with better features + service at better prices.
Pros:
At first it seemed ok, but as we needed more and more features we found Asana extremely lacking and terrible service to match.
Cons:
The service is absolutely atrocious. They charged us for 1 year + where there was literally 0 activity on Asana. We kept sending emails (about 4-5 in total) saying that we wanted a cancellation and they did not cancel.
Asana is task management tool
Comments: Its nice product and very user friendly.
Pros:
Its awsome to manage task and best tool to remind with timeline.
Cons:
Portfolio is not available in asana pro, that should be available to make portfolio of team and projects.
Alternatives Considered: Todoist
Reasons for Choosing Asana: Team work was costly and little complicated feature, and service was not good.
Switched From: Teamwork Desk
Reasons for Switching to Asana: Because of the feature and user understanding
I just Love it!
Comments: I really do love Asana since day one, I have tested any PM system implemented by several clients, and none of them have the user-friendly platform and at the same time good tracking of each project and task, Asana makes my professional life easier day after day!! :)
Pros:
I can have the best and easiest way to track each project and task, without getting loose in a system!!! Also you can have the free version to test it while you fall in love with it :)
Cons:
The reports look fantastic, I will add just some more reports templates so we can easily export them :)
Alternatives Considered: Financial Cents and ClickUp
Reasons for Switching to Asana: They are less useful because of the complexity to use them
