Made it easier in terms of viewing the tasks that were associated with the different platforms we were dealing with. Also just being able to see a breakdown of the different types of tickets created regardless of whether it was a story of a bug was in one compiled view. > > **Cons**: It was hard to navigate at times, especially when you've reached a point in which each panel had a lot of items added. The viewer becomes overwhelming and there was definitely a steep learning curve to get it up and running and get comfortable with it. I don't know if it was worth educating myself on how to use the interface when even after adding items and trying to manage them, it still felt like I had to keep learning. > > It was alright, but I think it's due for a series UI refresh. It has advanced tools that are great to have, but hard to discover and hard to use. ----- ### "An asset for tracking dev pipeline and velocity" — 5.0/5 > **Jeremy** | *6 April 2019* | Internet | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10 > > **Pros**: Very versatile and powerful solution to tracking our development work. Keeps things organized well and allows us to improve our output. > > **Cons**: Took a little bit of time to start maximizing its use but really great once you get there. ----- ### "Best Application for Agile And Project Management" — 5.0/5 > **Abhishek** | *13 April 2022* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: It is the best software for managing the projects and for agile technologies which is very easy to use and very useful for the small case business like startups as they have many projects going on which helps them to keep tabs on all at the same time. > > **Cons**: Sometimes handling more than one project is difficult on it and is very inconvenient. One more big inconvenience is that more of the managing stuff is manual and which can be made automation by > > One of the most useful features is managing projects and tracking the projects which are very convenient and useful for the companies. ----- ### "Not pretty, but highly functional" — 4.0/5 > **Dylan** | *7 December 2023* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10 > > **Pros**: Pivotal Tracker implements a lot of the finer points of agile and makes it very easy to run an agile workflow. > > **Cons**: The UI of Pivotal Tracker is utilitarian if you're being optimistic, dated and hard to look at if you're being less kind. > > I enjoyed my time with Pivotal Tracker. As a developer it was very functional and had all the features I needed, at a very attractive price. ----- ### "Couldn't wait to switch to another platform" — 3.0/5 > **Kerry** | *2 May 2019* | Newspapers | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10 > > **Pros**: Pivotal Tracker actually does most of what you need to track projects, or stories for sprints for a scrum team, which is what I used it for. You can write stories and add images and links to them, and assign things to people and change the status of each story as it goes through your process. However, (see Cons section)... > > **Cons**: Pivotal does not use lanes for workflow. You get one lane, and stories can move up and down it vertically until they are done, and then they finally get to jump out to another lane. But the vertical workflow instead of horizontal is extremely non-intuitive. In fact, I found the entire software platform to be highly non-intuitive in general. I'm pretty savvy with learning new products, and it still took two weeks and multiple trainings for me to feel like I had a grasp of what I was doing. Furthermore, they only have 4 fixed statuses, so if those don't match your process well then you are stuck putting tags on all your stories to keep track of where they are in your process. It's doable, but very annoying. In addition, PivotalTracker looks like no one has done any development work on it since the year 2000. The interface is old and outdated, and challenging to wrap your head around. My company was using it when I started working here, and fortunately they switched to ClubHouse about 3 months after I started. What a glorious transition\! It took me half a day to learn ClubHouse and it is so much cleaner and intuitive to work with. I believe shortly before we transitioned that Pivotal was actually starting to roll out some improvements to their platform, so maybe it's better now. But in my opinion they probably should have started thinking about that about 5 years earlier. ----- Page: 1 / 7\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.com.sg/software/119496/pivotal-tracker?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.com.sg/software/119496/pivotal-tracker) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | es | | | es-AR | | | es-CL | | | es-CO | | | es-CR | | | es-DO | | | es-EC | | | es-MX | | | es-PA | | | es-PE | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | it | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | | pt | | | pt-PT | | ----- ## Structured Data
