## About the vendor

- **Company**: BasinCheck

## Commercial Context

- **Starting Price**: US$149.00
- **Pricing model**: Flat Rate (Free Trial)
- **Pricing Details**: BasinCheck is safety audit software built specifically for oil and gas contractors. Unlike general-purpose inspection apps, we focus on oilfield compliance workflows: rig inspections, hot work permits, confined space entry, JSAs, and OSHA recordkeeping.

Pricing Philosophy: Team-Based, Not Per-User

Most safety software charges $20-50 per user per month. For a 50-person field crew, that's $1,000-2,500/month just for user licenses. BasinCheck takes a different approach: flat team pricing with unlimited users on every plan. Add your entire organization without per-seat fees.

Starter: $149/month
Best for small contractors with 1-20 employees
 Unlimited users (no per-seat fees)
 100 audits per month
Mobile-first audit app with offline capability
Pre-built O\&G templates (rig inspections, vehicle safety, hazard assessments)
Automatic corrective action generation from failed audit items
 Photo attachments and evidence capture
OSHA 300 Log and 300A Summary generation
 AI-assisted incident classification
 Analytics dashboard with compliance trends
 PDF export for audit-ready documentation
Ideal for: Single-crew drilling contractors, wireline teams, small well service companies.

Standard: $299/month (Most Popular)
Best for growing operations with 20-75 employees
 Everything in Starter, plus:
 Unlimited users
 500 audits per month
 Email support with 24-hour response
 Multi-crew management
 Advanced reporting and analytics
Ideal for: Multi-rig contractors, coil tubing operations, pipeline maintenance crews, frac teams.

Pro: $599/month

Best for large contractors with 75+ employees
 Everything in Standard, plus:
 Unlimited users
 Unlimited audits
 Priority support
 Custom template builder
 Dedicated onboarding assistance
Ideal for: Large drilling contractors, production field teams, refinery turnaround crews, midstream operators.

Enterprise: Custom Pricing (Starting at $1,200/month)

For organizations requiring dedicated support and custom configurations
 Dedicated Customer Success Manager
 Custom integrations and API access
 Single Sign-On (SSO)
 Service Level Agreement (SLA)
 Multi-tenant/multi-company support
Contact sales for a tailored quote.

Free Trial: 7-day free trial with full feature access.

Annual Billing Discount
Pay annually and save approximately 16%:
 Starter: $1,499/year (saves $289)
 Standard: $2,999/year (saves $589)
 Pro: $5,999/year (saves $1,189)

Why Flat Pricing Matters for Oilfield Contractors?

Oil and gas operations have variable crew sizes. Rig crews rotate. Seasonal work means headcount fluctuates. Per-user pricing creates administrative overhead and unpredictable costs. With BasinCheck flat pricing: add field workers instantly without budget approval, no penalties for crew growth, and predictable monthly costs for budgeting.

ROI Perspective
The average OSHA citation in oil and gas is $15,625. Serious violations can exceed $150,000. One prevented citation pays for over 8 years of BasinCheck Pro. Beyond fines: proper documentation helps win contracts with major operators who require audit-ready safety programs.

What's Included in All Plans:

- Mobile app that works offline in remote field locations
- Automatic sync when connectivity returns
- Pre-built templates for O\&G operations (OSHA-aligned)
- Failed items automatically create corrective actions
- Photo evidence capture and attachment
- OSHA 300/300A log generation with AI classification
- Incident tracking and investigation workflows
- Real-time analytics and compliance dashboards
- PDF exports for operator audits and regulatory inspections

No Hidden Fees

The price you see is the price you pay. No implementation fees, no training charges, no surprise costs.

### "OSHA-300 Submission" — 5.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *27 February 2026* | Hospital & Health Care | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I used BasinChecks's CSV validator tool to assist with my OSHA-300 submission. The usual template from OSHA's ITA tool is very finicky, and there are several adjustments that need to be made to the file before the system accepts your submission. Typically, this is an arduous and frustrating process, but this year was a breeze. I exported my CSV and let BasinCheck do the rest. Once they reviewed and validated my file, I was able to submit with zero issues. Knowing what the process was like previously, I can't imagine not utilizing BasinCheck again next year and saving myself a major headache.
>
> **Cons**: I do not have anything to add. I reached out to \[sensitive content hidden\] to relay the difficulty I was having submitting my CSV to OSHA's portal, and he took care of the rest. He re-formatted my file to meet OSHA's standards and sent a clean version to me very quickly.
>
> The process could not have been smoother. \[sensitive content hidden\] was super responsive, and outlined a whole series of steps for me to take in order to submit my file successfully. He was transparent, and provided detail on troubleshooting that he could perform in the event my file did not upload successfully. From a user standpoint, I had a great experience.

### "My Take on BasinCheck" — 5.0/5

> **Colton** | *4 August 2026* | Construction | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Keeps inspections, toolbox talks, JSAs, incidents, audits, training, and safety documentation in one system.
Lets you separate drilling and service departments, then organize records by rig, crew, employee, and equipment.
Equipment and QR-code checklists can make field inspections faster and easier to track.
Good toolbox-talk structure for hazards, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, emergency procedures, near misses, and lessons learned.
Strong accountability: dated records, attendance, drafts, submitted forms, and activity history are easier to review than paper forms.
Useful for growing a safety program over time instead of just collecting paperwork.
Helps identify trends and follow up on issues before they become bigger problems.
Flexible enough to create custom inspection forms for rigs, vehicles, and other equipment
>
> **Cons**: It takes time upfront to enter employees, crews, departments, equipment, and correct rig assignments.
The system is only as accurate as the information kept in it. Crew and equipment assignments need regular updating.
If employees are not assigned to the right rig or department, meeting attendance and reporting can become confusing.
Some features can feel a little overwhelming at first because there are many areas to set up.
Field crews will need buy-in and training so forms are completed correctly instead of becoming rushed paperwork.
The offline-status banner can be confusing when the system is still functioning normally.
>
> BasinCheck has been a great addition to how we manage safety across our drilling and service operations. From a safety manager standpoint, it has made keeping up with inspections, safety meetings, equipment, crews, and paperwork a whole lot easier.

One of the biggest things I like is that it keeps everything in one place. Instead of trying to keep up with paper forms, spreadsheets, texts, and random folders, we can connect employees, crews, equipment, rigs, and locations directly to the safety records that matter. For a company where people and equipment are constantly moving between jobs, that is huge.

The inspection side has been especially helpful. We can build inspection forms for different equipment and make sure crews are checking the things that really matter before work starts. On drilling rigs, that includes items like emergency stops, stabilizers and leveling systems, hoist and winch cables, hooks, controls, guards, and other equipment that can cause serious problems if its not working correctly. Being able to tie that inspection back to a specific rig or unit helps keep everyone accountable.

The toolbox talk and safety meeting side is also a strong feature. We can create weekly talks, put them under the correct department and rig, document the hazards discussed, track things like PPE, Lockout/Tagout, traffic safety, emergency procedures, near misses, and lessons learned. It gives supervisors a better format to work from and makes it easier to prove that safety topics were actually covered with the crew.

The JSA side is another big benefit. It gives us a place to think through job steps, hazards, and controls before the job gets going. That is important in drilling and service work because conditions can change fast. Weather, ground conditions, lifting operations, rotating equipment, electrical work, pressure systems, traffic, and changing crews can all create different hazards from one job to the next.

BasinCheck also has a lot of room to grow with us. The issues, incidents, audits, training, permits, SDS/HazCom, safety programs, activity history, and reporting tools can help turn it into more than just an inspection app. It can become the main place we manage our safety program and track what needs attention.

The QR code setup for equipment is something I am really looking forward to. Once we have more of our rigs, vehicles, tools, and equipment entered, crews should be able to scan the code and go straight to the correct inspection or checklist. That will make it easier to use in the field and should help cut down on missed paperwork or people using the wrong form.

No software can replace good leadership, training, or crews that actually care about working safe. But BasinCheck gives us a really solid tool to support all of that. It helps make expectations clear, gives us better documentation, and gives management a better view of what is happening across the company.

Overall, I have been very impressed with BasinCheck so far. We are still building it out and getting all of our employees, equipment, forms, inspections, JSAs, and toolbox talks organized, but the foundation is already strong. I expect to see great things from BasinCheck in the future and I think it can make a real difference in how we manage safety day to day.
