> **Pros**: Cursor has become my daily driver for writing code. It's built on top of VS Code, so everything felt familiar from day one, but the AI layer is what makes it stand out. The tab autocomplete predicts multi-line edits remarkably well, and the agent/composer mode can make coordinated changes across several files in a large monorepo, which saves a lot of manual navigation. The codebase-aware chat lets me ask about unfamiliar parts of our backend and get answers grounded in the actual code, and I can switch between different frontier models as new ones ship.

> **Cons**: It can get pricey once you lean heavily on the stronger models, and request latency sometimes spikes during peak hours. The AI is confidently wrong now and then, so you still have to review its edits carefully, especially on large refactors. On a very big monorepo the indexing can lag, and occasional updates change model behavior in ways you have to re-learn.

> Overall it's been a big productivity boost for the team. We ship faster, get up to speed on unfamiliar code quicker, and spend less time on boilerplate. Can change to different LLMs for better output

You may have to explain the larger context of the codebase when you want cross-component implementations

> Cursor is a remarkable software development agent. I have all the components: frontend, backend and micro-services in one folder. I asked cursor to generate summaries for each folder and destination. Now, I simply ask cursor to implement a new feature and read those summaries for context. It implements it end-to-end. 
Even when you have very large code-bases, the debugging process is much easier. You can input the logs and cursor helps you identify the bug and even fix it.
It is value for money.
