Everything, starting from the signup process, is smooth, fast and paperless. The mobile and browser apps are beautifully designed and easy to use. The pricing is very fair and transparent. Every time that I experienced any problems, e.g. fraudulent use of my credit card, the customer support was quickly there to help me via online chat. > > **Cons**: It seems like N26’s fast expansion into new markets has come at the cost of developing new features. When I signed up, there was a menu that generated some statistics from my spending habits. This feature has simply disappeared. The MoneyBeam service, which promises instant transactions between two N26 customers, doesn’t always work because there is some underlying fault with identifying who is a customer based on their email or phone number. Overall, there hasn’t been a major redesign in several years. I am under the impression that other banks will soon catch up and overtake N26 with some new, more radical features. > > N26 has helped me to gain much more insights into my financial situation. Every time there is a transaction, I receive an instant push notification. That way abuse is almost impossible and even when I travel, I can immediately see how much something cost me in my own currency. I also enjoy dedicated saving spaces as I'm putting a fixed amount every month on a separate space so I won't debit anything from it. As a traveler, the best is by far the free payments in other currencies. > > **Cons**: At first I was a bit disappointed that there was a minimim activity limit for it to keep on being free. But as of recently, it seems they've lifted this limit as I can't read it anymore on their website. And it really works, and you receive notifications of incoming transfers instantly, moving the old-style bank "daily notifications" to the todays' "instant gratification" times. > > **Cons**: Well, the customer service deserves much more attention. I have a problem when their software just crashed on my easy request to provide me with the account statement. It took several weeks before they fixed this in the next app release. And noone to help you in this situation. Also, their "integrations with other providers" do not work as nicely as the main app. For example, you can use TransferWise from inside the app as well as a separate app. In the Transferwise app you get the nice-looking transfer confirmation the moment they sent money out.
