### "Amazing Competency Oversight for Health Systems" — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: I oversee Competency for a large health system.  Before Compass, we used paper to document competency.  We had missing documentation, forgotten competency and it was difficult to track completion.  Compass has built in reminders, easy to read reports, and best of all, I can track competency for any site within our system without traveling or relying on others to provide information.  This has been invaluable for us\!

> **Cons**: The navigation to return to a previous screen is terrible.  If you try to use the Back arrow, you get an error rather than the screen you want.  I often have to go back to the tab on the top and retrace my steps to get back to the screen I want.  This is especially painful when I have update to many Profiles and just want to jump around making edits.  Poor navigation adds a lot of time to simple processes.

> Overall, I love it.  The Customer Service team is amazing and so helpful\!  I always feel like I am emailing with someone who cares and really wants to fix the problem I am experiencing.

> **Pros**: Compass setup was straightforward to setup and configure that made the onboarding process easier. The platform is intuitive and helps streamline workflows. The automated 6mo, first annual, and annual timed reassignments are great. The ability not to have to manually track and have centralized signoffs helped a great deal with compliance.

> **Cons**: There are some signoff delays when users belong to multiple groups as it can require every trainer to sign off even on areas they are not over. The My Competency area is great for knowing and signing off on items in the module, but the final review signoff is a little difficult to find for some employees as it is a hyperlink line at the top where in the module are large buttons.  This causes issues for people not realizing they have to signoff on the whole competency module.

> Overall, Compass is a great tool that delivers a simplified process for competency assessment and improved transparency for compliance inspections. It was easy to setup, had great customer support for questions, and general usability make it a valuable addition. There are some quirks with signoffs and set up for final signoffs but these can be overcome if you are careful in setup. It is an excellent module to have to ensure laboratory compliance for regulation. It works well with the other modules for interoperability.

> **Pros**: I like that Compass is highly customizable in the different types of activities available to build an assessment.  There are checklists, courses, files, and specific proficiency testing activities to help ensure staff competency. It automates the process of assigning the semi-annual competency for newly hired laboratory techs, which is one of the highest ranked deficiencies during inspections\!  Another great feature is there is a library of shared assessments that are easily customizable and a huge time-saver. Overall, our lab is very happy with Compass.

> **Cons**: The biggest pitfall at our facility is when the setting that helps ensure the semi-annual assessment is used, it causes Compass to assign the first annual assessment by a tech's one year anniversary date instead of the year anniversary date from the start of testing.
> 
> Overall, we are very happy with Compass\!  It has allowed us to ensure competency compliance with easily trackable reports and due dates.
