Comments: It is an application that I use both in my business and private life. I can easily communicate with my employees and friends and get my work done.

Pros:

It is very useful, simple and has rich content.

Cons:

There is nothing I don't like in the Discord application, frankly I am very satisfied.

Terrible Screening & Terrible Customer Service

Comments: It is clunky at best for adding images to posts and joining audio or video sessions. I'm multiple groups and each group only has a small icon to ID it, so finding each group is difficult. So this latest experience really topped the cake. I am contemplating not using it anymore. And tomorrow I receive a new (used, but to me) PC I purchased mainly to be my dedicated Discord PC.

Pros:

Multiple forums available on one application.

Cons:

I have used Discord for about 5 years. A problem I have faced is scammers direct messaging me. Discord doesn't seem to be able to do anything about that. Last week I received an invitation to join a Discord forum by a vendor from whom I have purchased several hundred $-worth of product. I tried several times to join that forum on 2 different PCs. Because their service was lousy, they added insult to injury by suspending my account. I appealed 4 days ago -- crickets.

Endless Opportunity for Large Team Collaboration

Comments: Discord has been extremely helpful in remote work within my company, which came as a big surprise to me originally. We use it daily for everything from quick conversation to more in-depth team meetings.

Pros:

Discord has everything I can think of when it comes to team collaboration. I love the ability to have unlimited group chats, unlimited servers for the purpose of holding meetings, pinning messages, and tagging members.

Cons:

There have been issues in the past trying to make the notifications work for the mobile phone. It has worked best on a desktop/laptop.

Great for your odd Hobby!

Comments: My overall experience with Discord has been very positive. I have been able to ask questions and help others with projects they are working on. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a dynamic, interactive environment.

Pros:

Discord is a great program that allows you to find individuals who share the same hobbies as yourself. It gives users a place to discuss and ask questions about various topics. It's easy for you to create your own server or to join someone else's. I used Discord during the GPU shortage. I found servers that give users updates when a store drops new cards. If you're a gamer, Discord is a great site for you. If you have a weird hobby, I'm sure you can find a server that discusses it.

Cons:

The only con about Discord is it's difficult to find an exact server. The only way to find a certain one is to have a link to that specific server. Discord can be overwhelming for newcomers due to its plethora of features and settings. Also, there are occasional server outages or performance issues, though these are rare

Comments: I am not very tech savvy and often have trouble using different software programs. I did not have any problems using Discord and found it to be very straightforward and user friendly which I appreciated. I like connecting and mutually learning with like-minded people on the server

Pros:

I love the fact that you can connect so easily with tons of people around the world who have the same interests as you.

I disliked that many of the servers were password protected/difficult to become part of.

Finding community and connection

Comments: Discord is different from other social media platforms; it feels like home to me. You meet people in servers, almost as if each server is a social event, and you can only message someone once you have their username. Of course, you can also find someone's username externally, but the way it’s set up feels natural and provides a level of protection. Discord isn't focused on posting photos or personal updates; it’s all about community. This aspect really resonates with me as an introvert.

Pros:

I appreciate the unique concept behind Discord as a social media platform. I'm not referring to the user interface, but rather the overall vision of the platform.

Cons:

Recently, I've been disappointed with the emphasis on paid plans, as Discord seems to promote them a bit too aggressively. The regular Nitro subscription feels too expensive for what it offers, and Nitro Basic, which I would consider paying for, lacks essential features like access to up to 200 servers.

Pros:

Discord consumes several resources and makes the device slower, also most paid features are decorations, styles, themes. Not actual helpful features.

Discord as your keep in touch platform

Comments: My experience has been excellent so far; I have an essential Nitro subscription. It has been enough for my usage, but I have seen that it gives the platform an extra layer of experience. I use it both for text and voice communication, and it has allowed me to participate, explore, and consolidate distant relationships with people worldwide.

Pros:

I like Discord as a social platform where I can keep up and reach out to friends and family. It is a social network that provides the tools, channels, and user-friendly elements that let you stay tuned and constantly communicate with people worldwide. I like that you can either use it as a casual user or a super deep knowledge user and in both ways, it will always give you some value in return.

Cons:

I don't like that whenever I want to share a high-resolution photo, it won't do a preview but creates a link instead. Also, some elements like gifts and emojis won't work the same on PC and Mobile, but I guess it has to do more with the technology used than the platform itself.

Pros:

What i like the most about discord is the use. It's very simple, efficient. Never have a real problem. Moreover, it's been like 10 years that i'm using discord (pro or not) and i can say that i suffer about 3 problems. Discord is very reactive about this point.

Cons:

Maybe more personnalization ( can choose the name that we want for our chat ( Cplus plus for C++, it's a detail). The price for the nitro is something that's i think, is not totally justified. The free Version of discord is incredible. The paid version need more pros to be very satisfying

Available/accessible worldwide, real time and high quality communication for video and non-video calls, can be linked with several user at the same time, can be used/install with minimal computer/mobile specs. requirement, very helpful in conducting online class teaching/discussions and also for gaming.

Cons:

So far, I don't have any downside experience with Discord, happy and satisfied with this application.

Discord is gamer chat

Pros:

Discord allows you to communicate with others in a community you may be a part of even if the community is not exclusive to where you live. you can customize a lot of things in discord and the learning curve is pretty easily grasped!

Cons:

if you dont pay for discord Nitro, the voice chat with someone streaming can be a bit scuffed(pixelated, laggy). The price for discord Nitro is a bit higher than i like but imo it is worth it.

Discord is a helpful tool for me. Because I can get help or updates about different things like gardening tricks, news around the world, and more. Using the Discord app is saving time and receiving all notifications on time. Chatting with others also helps others and I get to know unknown things. Comments: It is an application that I use daily, as it has all the functions to communicate with my friends who live on another side of the world, I recommend using it 100%, it will not disappoint you.

The speed for everything, it is an easy program to use, voice calls do not have lag or errors, the number of options you have to customize the channels, the addition of roles to keep order.

Cons:

There really is nothing that I dislike, just one complaint, because the prices for the membership are a little expensive, but you do not depend on having said membership for the application work.

Comments: I've been using Discord for many years now, and it's hands down the best program for group voice and video calls.

First of all, it's free (unless you pay for the premium version, which offers some extra features). Quality of voice and video calls is great. Creating new servers is very easy. It is also possible to add bots (and create new ones) to your server, which can greatly enhance your experience, such as music bots, and others. It's also possible to share your screen.

Cons:

The quality of the streams is not always great, even if you have a high bandwidth internet connection.
