Easy to Use

Comments: Our Account Manager is friendly and very attentive.

Pros:

Many assessment choices over a wide variety of topics. It has proven very accurate, as the skill levels reflected in the tests are right in line with candidates' capabilities after they start a new position.

Cons:

Nothing stands out. It is easy to use, or to find reports whenever needed.

Comments: Good.

Pros:

Easy deployment to those who are taking the assessments remotely. Also like the "al la carte" so we can use what we need vs a contract.

Cons:

I think there could be more variety of assessments. I think the behavioral tests could be more advanced. Also would like to be able to view all of the questions prior without having to use a token.

Great Value and Consistent Results

Pros:

Employ Test provides us a baseline to compare prospective candidates against eachother. We know what scores have provided positive results in previous hires and it allows us to compare new candidates using those same metrics.

Cons:

I didn't like when the price increase happened but I understand the value the test brings.

Comments: It was above average. Didn't really deal with anyone. I did everything online.

Pros:

It was easy/quick to set up and easy to use

Cons:

I would have liked to be able to see the questions on the test first so that I could decide which of the computer test would have been accurate to send. I had to send one employee multiple tests as the one was way too hard and something we didn't need, but I couldn't tell that ahead of time.

Very professional testing site

Comments: We have been using EmployTest for several months now and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Pros:

Large selection of tests to choose from, the ease of use of the website when sending tests to candidates, the incredible assistance when I do have a question about anything. The responses I receive are always quick and very informative. Typically providing more information than requested which is great.

Cons:

I do not have any cons to share regarding the website, the assistance I receive or the tests.

Quick & Efficient Results

Pros:

I liked how easy it was to find an assessment, send an email within the platform and receive the results from the EmployTest Dashboard quickly and efficiently.

Cons:

Our first applicant wasn't able to access from her mobile device. She was able to take the pre-employment assessment from a desktop instead.

Time saver that doesn't cut corners

Pros:

The system is incredibly easy to use. The library of tests is fairly extensive. Our team felt confident using these and it saved a lot of time for HR and the hiring manager. AND great customer support.

Cons:

This was not a deterrent for our team, and was resolved quickly. There were a few issues with the initial setup of our account that delayed our ability to launch tests. However, the customer support team was extremely helpful and worked to get this resolved right away. She even stayed on the phone while I checked (and double checked) that we had the access necessary, tests would launch, etc.

Good for candidate quick view

Comments: The customer service I have received is always fantastic.

Pros:

I have found that the assessments we use can give us a quick indicator into certain areas although are not always accurate in terms of proficiency. There is a good range of tests although I wish some of the identity type tests could be more customized.

Cons:

The customized tests leave a lot to be desired. The quick grading percentages do not always seem to add up to the actual right/wrong.

Comments: It is a very useful tool when selecting candidates to interview for a position. Employtest has worked with us to create specific tests and a system that meets our needs in regards to the amount of testing we conduct.

Pros:

I like that it is simple to use and test names and descriptions are pretty straightforward. Tests are short and to the point for candidates.

Cons:

I wish that the schedule email test feature worked a little better. I have scheduled tests to go out before and candidates stated that they never received them.

Customer Service

Pros:

The skill assessments with EmployTest are a great tool, however the customer service is amazing ! Our rep [sensitive content hidden]is always up to answer additional questions, help with tech and is a terrific help when it comes to choosing the amount of tests we need.

Cons:

While I do like how the overviews are written. I dont like that we get an overview of results and we aren't able to see exactly what people answered. It would be helpful to know which questions made up the results and where someone answered less than others.

Comments: Definetly helps to hire the right person the first time. All of the 'hard' work is done when screening for administrative assistants. Select a test with skills that are desired and I can narrow down my list of interviews.

Pros:

I can quickly find what I need to pre-screen candidates. EXCELLENT customer service when I do have questions or issues. I very much appreciate the expediency of the product and your customer service representatives.

Cons:

I would like to see combination tests -- maybe basic computer skills become a portion of the Beginner Employment Skills Test.

Comments: We are using it for pre-employment hiring to get a fuller picture of our candidates.

Pros:

Love being able to purchase tests ala carte, instead of having to commit to a larger testing package. We are a small organization that hires infrequently, and this is a good fit for us.

Cons:

It can be kind of difficult to choose the exact test you want to administer, but it is good that there are a lot of options.

Comments: Exceptionally testing. The test was what we needed and simply to administer and the results are delivered direct to your email.

HR Support for Start Up

Comments: Excellent; we will be back for our next hire.

Pros:

The skills assessments were reasonably thorough, interpretation of the results easy and offered reassurance when comparing and selecting candidates.

Cons:

The Elite Skills Profile could have been a bit more thorough in its range of questions, however, it was a reasonable assessment for a key administrative position that requires a wide range of skills.

Ease of ordering and deployment is definitely an asset. The variety of tests available helped to determine which would specifically fit my needs.

Customized Test

Pros:

[sensitive content hidden] was very helpful, adaptable and responsive. She was able to create a customized test for kitchen manager candidates after giving her what I wanted it to look like.

Cons:

Would have liked a fill in the blank/type in answer component but I realize there were parameters that Angela had to work within.

Comments: I started with the program receiving the tests from the administrator. I was a supervisor, doing the hiring. I left to open my own business. I have recently, started back as the administrator to aid in the hiring process. So I'm looking forward to seeing this side of the testing process.

Pros:

Easy to navigateEasy to send to test takers

Cons:

The excel test... It doesn't seem to give the user enough information to realize the test has begun. They believe it's just instructions instead of the test itself.

Excellent Test for Microsoft Suite of Products

Pros:

Ease of use, variety of test and they keep up with the latest versions of Microsoft Office Suite of Products.

Cons:

I haven't found anything at this point.

Comments: Overall, my experience with employ test has been positive and it has helped our institution become much more consistent when evaluating candidates making our hiring process much more equitable and fair for all involved.

Pros:

What I enjoy most about this product is the conveniences of it. It makes it much easier for candidates to access this product from where they are. Testing has become much easier on our end thanks to employ test. Lastly, we are fans of the instant test results that are sent via email, this has helped us become more fair and consistent across the board.

Cons:

The least favorite thing about this software is that fact that sometimes it takes candidates a while to catch on how to navigate the simulation system. Also, the system will give candidates and incorrect answer mark if they attempt to complete the task via a "shortcut" in the software. If the system allowed for shortcuts it would all us to still accurately rate and score candidates.

Pros:

The variety of assessments is very important because the types of positions I recruit for is varied.

Cons:

The function of sending out the assessment letter to candidates is confusing. I think the letter itself needs to be cleaned up.
