About Zoho Assist
Zoho Assist provides a simple and straight forward user interface to connect to remote computers anywhere on the globe.
Browser integration and Linux support are top features for us. Unattended also is a key feature for us.
Two features are missing as of now. Real-time voice chats with client and auto chat transcript mailing to the client at the end of the sesion.

Seems to work well with just a couple of quirks
Pros:
It's pretty responsive, seems to be tolerant of reboots and network interruptions, and the file transfer and diagnostic features work pretty well.
Cons:
1) the ZA server doesn't always recognize when a computer is offline, and 2) sometimes the session will freeze if you log out of the remote computer's user account, necessitating a disconnect and reconnection to the session. And 3) Certain keyboard combinations, such as anything with the Windows key, do not work and you have to use the "Sticky Key" feature, which works but is a bit clunky to get used to.
Alternatives Considered: RemotePC and Splashtop
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: Cost. For the features I use, Zoho Assist is far more cost effective than TeamViewer.
Switched From: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: A combination of cost and features. Zoho Assist seems to meet the right balance of features and cost to fit my needs as a very small MSP.
A very good product
Comments: A very good experience and the onboarding was very quick
Pros:
Zoho assist is a very friendly and useful product, like most of Zoho solutions and products that we use since 5 years.
Cons:
easy-to-use, friendly, full of useful functionnlaities
Scam, they dont stop billing you.
Comments: Ripoff, they keep billing, they make it impossible to cancel. I have been trying to cancel and they dont let you.
Pros:
I used it one time and never used it again.
Cons:
I cancel the subscription. Total scam. They keep billing me. Do not sign up.
Awesome Remote Assistance App
Comments: Overall my experience has been positive. The application itself is fairly stright forward. Remote requests were quite easy to set up when a client asked me for help. Setting up unattended access was a snap and really helps me look after my clients.
Pros:
Although there is a desktop interface Zoho is mostly a web based application and that makes is wasy to use everywhere. I am often on the road and need to connecto to my client's computers so using a web based connection just makes things easier.
Cons:
Getting into Zoho Assist has a bit of a learning curve and sometimes learning a new way of thinking has its challenges. Once you move around in hte app a bit you will start to see the logic in it.
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: I thought that Zoho had the better pricing model than TeamViewer.
Amazing tech cant go wrong with this!
Comments: Great new remote application that will make assisting clients a breeze
Pros:
Ease of use, user friendly on tech and client side
Cons:
No cons so far, will still test it out a bit more, but extremely happy so far
Zoho Assist Review

i dont think we have any cons for zoho assist. Maybe the price per technician
Zoho assist
Comments: Overall, Zoho Assist offers a solid remote support solution with a good balance of features, security, and affordability. The platform is easy to set up and use, especially for businesses that need cross-platform support (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.). Its remote access and support tools, including unattended access and session recording, work well for troubleshooting and assisting clients. The security features, like end-to-end encryption and two-factor authentication, provide peace of mind when dealing with sensitive data. However, while the service is reliable, some aspects, such as the user interface and the limited features on lower-tier plans, could use improvement. Additionally, connectivity issues can arise in certain situations, and integrations outside the Zoho ecosystem are somewhat limited. In summary, Zoho Assist is a strong choice for remote support needs, particularly for small to medium businesses, but it could benefit from a more refined UI and faster customer support.
Pros:
What I like most about Zoho Assist is its user-friendliness and versatility. It offers cross-platform support (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS), strong security features (end-to-end encryption, two-factor authentication), and unattended access for remote support. It also includes session recording, detailed reporting, and customization options for branding. Plus, it’s affordable for businesses of all sizes.
Cons:
Limited features on lower plans – Advanced options like file transfer and unattended access are restricted to higher-tier plans. Cluttered UI – The interface can feel unintuitive and overwhelming at times. Occasional connectivity issues – Some users experience lag or disruptions during remote sessions. Integration limitations – It works best with other Zoho products but has fewer integrations with third-party tools. Slow customer support – Response times can be slower than expected, especially for urgent issues.
Awesome Software
Comments: It's a very friendly software. Better than team viewer.
Pros:
Security, User Experience, Interface, and Price
Cons:
Limited number of unattended servers. Very low.
Review of Zoho
Pros:
Very easy to use and was smooth overall.
Cons:
Increase in latency speed would be nice but the lag was minimal
Still eval'ing
Comments: about what I expected. the bar is kinda high these days.
Pros:
Easy to setup. Easy to get connected...
Cons:
Connection to MacOS could be confusing for non-tech user.
Impressed with the tool
Comments: One of the most impressive aspects of Zoho Assist is its quick implementation. It takes only a few minutes to get it up and running. The installation process is streamlined as we used Intune to push it out to all devices. This rapid deployment means that our business can start benefiting from remote support capabilities without any significant downtime or disruption from moving away from Teamviewer.
Pros:
Sessions are stable, with minimal lag, ensuring that support tasks can be carried out efficiently. We liked the ability to file transfer, screen sharing, and chat, which enhance the overall support experience. Especially when users are having issues with Teams etc where the normal modes of communication don't work.
Cons:
Occasionally we don't get a connection to the end user first time. This is usually due to the device needing a reboot.
Alternatives Considered: ConnectWise ScreenConnect
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: ZA was substantially cheaper than Teamviewer, whilst also adding a lot of extra features and quality of life improvements.
Switched From: TeamViewer Remote
How to not break the bank with remote assistance.
Comments: Zoho has been great, it functions as a tool that I don't have to worry about and don't feel I'm being gouged
Pros:
The cost to feature/function ratio is great. There are lot of features found in comparable more expensive solutions but available at a much more budget friendly package. The interface is intuitive and simple to navigate and understand vs other more costly solutions.
Cons:
Unattended agents sometimes go offline for short periods of time after intense troubleshooting sessions that require multiple reboots, connect, disconnects.
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote, AnyDesk and BeyondTrust Remote Support
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: Cost and frustrating issues from support.
Switched From: LogMeIn Pro
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: The way Zoho Assist handles multiple monitor setups was the second selling point next to ease of use.
A Fabulous Remote Access & Support Solution
Comments: The software and the ease with which I can use it to provide multiple services to my clients means I have had a very positive experience using Zoho Assist and recently renewed my annual subscription as a result.
Pros:
Ease of setup, ease of implementation, ease of use, quick and smooth connections, boosts client confidence, allows multiple clients to be serviced remotely thus saving on travel.
Cons:
Thus far (just over 1 year in) I have not experienced a single downside to Zoho Assist.
Value for money
Comments:
Before trying out Zoho Assist, i was using another product until one fine day some critical problem on their server knocked it out for a few hours.
i have used Zoho Assist for a few days now and it feels almost like it is not there. This is really difficult to achieve for most of the in-your-face software packages available in the market. Once you connect to a remote client, it is as if you are working on your own computer.
This is the perfect remote assistance software.
Pros:
* browser-based entirely. you don't have to install another software to provide assistance. * Super smooth connectivity * easy on pockets * translates keys-strokes between platforms (i use it from my linux to connect to a remote Mac, and i don't have to bother about translating my, for example, CTRL + S to CMD + S to save my files. * does not bother with constant ads or purchase requests
Cons:
Cons are a little difficult to find. If i have to be really picky, i would probably say it is the default graphics quality of the remote client that is streamed. But then, remote desktop/assistance is not supposed to be used for multimedia entertainment. And again, it is configurable in the settings, so it is not a bother.
Excellent Remote Support Software
Pros:
It's very easy to get started, quick to deploy on both Windows and Mac.
Cons:
Sometimes the web version can be buggy and you have to rejoin sessions.
Easy to use
Pros:
Easy to use, and easy to connect
Cons:
nothing
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: Cheaper
Zoho Assist: A must-have for MSPs
Comments: Zoho Assist is an excellent product that facilitates remote unattended support. A must-have for any MSP.
Pros:
Zoho Assist is easy to use and deploy. The multi-screen live preview makes it easier for the technician to see pop-ups on other screens. The additional tools available on point-and-click, such as Control Panel and Event Viewer, are a timer saver feature. The audit logs and timer make it easier to keep track of support activities.
Cons:
There is always room for improvement. Zoho Assist has a vote-based roadmap to add the most popular and needed features.
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote, Atera, Splashtop and AnyDesk
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: Better price and better end-user support experience.
Switched From: Atera, Splashtop and AnyDesk
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: Price and features.

Comments: For the most part, servers purpose completely 90% of the time.
Pros:

Cons:
Screen swaps - when having to switch to 2nd & 3rd screens
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: Economics. Cost per device. Ease of deployment

Great software with improvements that can be made
Comments: Great software for quick support. Has all the needed tools for a support admin. Can add more useful features.
Pros:
Quick & Easy to use. Can organize, save, take notes, have video and audio communications.
Cons:
Rare Connection issues. Unable to edit/move objects unless under org tab.
Alternatives Considered: LogMeIn Rescue, TeamViewer Remote and BeyondTrust Remote Support
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: We work with other Zoho Product that best fit our business needs.
ultimate remote assistance tool
Comments: Since we tried it for the first time we have never used another remote assistance software, it has made our work easier and its integration with Zoho Desk has made it even easier.
Pros:
Ease of use and deployment, good price compared to other alternatives.
Cons:
I have not missed anything, I have used Assist on a daily basis without any problems.
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote, Iperius Remote, Supremo Remote Desktop and Pulseway
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: For its simple interface, the low price, available tools.
Switched From: TeamViewer Remote, AnyDesk and Pulseway
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: For its simple interface, the low price, available tools.
First impressions are very good
Comments: I would definitely recommend giving Zoho Assist a go and I've had good remote access experience with the desktop app. When stuck, the available online help has pointed me in the right direction. Certainly much cheaper than TeamViewer and much more straight forward interface.
Pros:
Free trial; low cost to get started; integrates with Azure AD for user login; multi-factor authentication; remote access for Android, iOS, Raspberry Pi, as well as Windows.
Cons:
Difficult initially to understand departments and groups, and how to move devices between them. The web viewer did not provide a reliable remote access experience (the display often froze or lagged by seconds making remote access control impossible) however not had any issue with desktop app.
Alternatives Considered: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Assist: TeamViewer subscription coming to an end and relatively higher cost to renew than Zoho Assist. Zoho Assist incorporates multi-factor authentication and integrates with Azure AD for easy login.
Switched From: TeamViewer Remote
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: Lower cost of ownership and remote access for Raspberry Pi.
My favourite remote technician tool
Comments: I have found it to be very reliable at maintaining a connection and have never found the service unavailable in over 3 years. I found it more performant than LogMeIn and very close to RDC.
Pros:
The price is very competitive, but Zoho Assist is in many ways fuller featured than it's competition. The licensing is scaleable for any business size.
Cons:
There is not currently a native ARM64 Windows version of the client.
Alternatives Considered: LogMeIn Rescue, TeamViewer Remote, GoTo Resolve and GoToMyPC
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Assist: They answered all my onboarding questions quickly and better than their competitors. I was confident in the product meeting my needs before I even used the trial.
A "No Fuss" Solution To Our Remote Needs
Comments: I have been in consulting for over 30 years and have almost always worked on the technical side of supporting customers. In my years of doing this kind of work I have had to rely on many different types of remote connections. Zoho Assist is by far the easiest and most reliable connection method I have used, all while still being secure.
Pros:
Working in a consulting practice that consistently needs access to customer systems requires remote access software that is secure, uncomplicated and just works. We have subscriptions to other remote software for those few cases where the customers have a required method of access but Zoho Assist is the primary go-to product for our systems engineer group. In the past, we often had to manage multiple VPN connections with multiple profiles to be able to access the systems we help maintain. That is not an ideal solution since there are issues with some VPN installations being incompatible with other VPN software and just the length of time it takes to port all those connections to a new machine when you upgrade hardware. While we do still use VPN connections for some customers, most times we can use Zoho Assist as an alternative. The interface for Zoho Assist is uncomplicated and easy to navigate both for the person initiating the remote session and the end user enabling the remote access. The unattended access is just as simple with a very easy deployment link working for most of the system we need to access. There are other products with more features on the market but we have found that we seldom use the additional features and the price point for those "bells and whistles" tend to be much higher than what we pay for Zoho Assist.
Cons:
I have no real complaints about Zoho Assist. It is a solution that is simple to use and the price point for the feature set you get is very reasonable.
Easy to use and access remote access software
Comments: Great. Love Zoho and have been using for the past 10 years without issue.
Pros:
Zoho makes it extremely easy for both the end users and myself as an administrator to get connected to them when they need me the most, as well as making it easy to access other computers that I manage and monitor on my own.
Cons:
Nothing really. Sometimes users get a little confused downloading the client, but this is true with any remote software.
Remote support in a charity organisation
Comments: I volunteer for a charity and have taken on managing the remote laptop fleet as part of my role as no-one provided those volunteers with any real support. We are setting up O365 so need to install apps and modify logons which users would really struggle with when they have limited time to do work outside their role. We are also setting up automated processes to maintain the devices and all of this is now possible in a robust, easy to use connection tool.
Pros:
Being able to email a team member the deployment link to get them to install the app has been the best feature. The portal view of the devices shows all I need - which devices are setup and when are they on. The connection to our mobile totally 4G network connected devices has been very reliable. Running from a web portal means it doesn't chew resources on my device to run the connection and I have the option to log in on another device if I'm away from mine by simply signing into the site.
Cons:
I've only been using the features I most need so far and all I need has been more than suitable.
