"Handy Program!"

Comments: Overall a great program, use it ever day. Excited to see it progress!

Pros: Easy to use, straightforward. Only program I know of like this. Very handy! Great customer support as well.

Cons: More functionality would be great. Perspective rugs would be awesome, and the "Remove Background" feature is kind of useless unless your item is a perfect square or rectangle. Still finding myself having to go into Photoshop to erase a lot of shadows, which really adds to the time because then you have to manually import everything instead of using your handy bookmark.

"So Far Impressed!"

Comments: The support team is awesome & I love how they are constantly making improvements to the software.

Pros: I am so impressed with this software; you get so much for your money, which is amazing and allows for better profit!
I think one of the aspects I like the most is the browser clipper. It makes it SO easy to find and save the products you want.
I also love that all of the documents I send to my clients are branded with my company design.
Lastly, the integration of invoicing is so simple and fantastic; I don't have to create my own estimate and invoice through another software or word doc, etc.

Cons: Some of the small issues I have found along the way have been corrected/updated.
The only item I can think of that is a bit confusing/problematic, would be how comments are delivered via email. For instance, if I leave six comments on six different items on a client's design board, I will receive separate emails back of each comment the client left. I will see what they wrote, however I won't see the image of the item they responded to. It would be nice to see the images along with the comments and to possibly have just one email with all of the comments connected to the correct image (instead of having six different emails with six different comments).

"My experience with design files"

Comments: Amazing, easy and fluent

Pros: Ease of use and very straight forward, the quality is very good, the floor planner is coming soon and I’m very excited it’s very up to date technology wise. Amazing design app over all I’m exited their latest updates The quoting system is amazing my clients show so much appreciation for this app because it brings everything so much more straight forward for them and clear

Cons: Only issues are needing furniture from a larger variety of designer brands eg McGee and co and RH etc And needing a way to draw up custom furniture and finishing details to the floor plans would be an amazing detail if they had it then design files would be everything Adding delivery tax on top of the tax to their quotes and invoicing

"Design Files"

Comments: Very good.

Pros: Easy to use, lots of features and training videos being added all the time that make it better and better, great customer support.

Cons: Would L-O-V-E a floor plan option so it would be a one stop shop for simple floor plans so you could show specific furniture arrangement AND to check how thing fit, No more best-guessing or going to another site and reloading all the furniture specs again to check fit in the room.

"DesignFiles"

Comments: Overall I am very pleased with DesignFiles. I've been able to streamline a lot of my business. I am working more effectively and efficiently. Thank you [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and the rest of your team.

Pros: I love being able to showcase my design to the client in a beautiful and professional manner. Being able to communicate with my clients via DesignFiles is super helpful. It's so efficient for the clients to be able to see the total project cost and cost of each individual item. Using DesignFiles has been a game changer for my business.

Cons: I find that products are missing from DesignFiles vendors. I always go to vendor website first to source product and then go into DesignFiles to see if product has been uploaded. I wish there was an easier way to upload client rooms and their belongings and then add products to the existing room. I haven't figured out how to do this in a way that looks professional and pleasing to the eye.

"Amazing software!!"

Comments: I'm very happy. The interaction with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] it's amazing, the most important thing to me!!

Pros: Easy for use, integrated shopping list, easy interaction with clients, good integration with others apps, integrated invoicing and quotes .

Cons: Sometimes the clipper doesn't work well, inability to save a image after being cut and the new tool to manually remove the background doesn't work efficiently. We need floor planner and 3D tools.

"New Designer Review"

Comments: All in all, I have had a good experience. I think it is a great tool. I have explored options like Ivvy but ultimately have decided to stick with designfiles because for how my business works right now, this is perfect. I think I would definitely stick with it if you guys can figure out the floor planner and being able to add our own product into that!

Pros: It is fairly user friendly and for a beginner designer, it is definitely more financially palpable than some of the other softwares out there.

Cons: I struggle with the client sharing part - it does not always work when I try to share boards with my clients which can be frustrating. Also, I wish the floor planner allowed for uploading specific products. Ultimately, clients don't want to see "like" styles. It confuses them so I basically use that tool for the overhead view only since I can't get my specific products in there. If you guys could figure this part out, it would be a GAME CHANGER!

"The Perfect All-inclusive designer tool"

Comments: Overall DesignFiles has condensed my process freeing my time to focus more closely on my clients and their projects and less on administrative tasks.

Pros: Before subscribing to DesignFiles, I was using 4 different products to complete project management tasks. A fellow designer suggested that DesignFiles would allow me to incorporate all tasks using one tool so I decided to try it out. I found what she said to be true and I was able to unsubscribe from 4 services and accomplish all that I need while exclusively using Design Files.

Cons: What I like least is the floor plan tool. It's a little rigid and limited.

"My Own e-Design Office!"

Comments: DesignFiles has given me the opportunity to work on some decorating projects that I wouldn’t have been able to complete without it. It’s really inspired me to work on new decorating goals and try to grow my business.

Pros: I think the thing I love the most is having the DesignFiles Browser Clipper. Although I really like the vendors on this site it’s so helpful to have the flexibility to clip products from outside sources. The download presentation with shoppable links is incredibly professional...LOVE it (and my clients love it too!) Also love being able to organize all of my projects in one place...it’s really like having my own virtual office space.

Cons: I truly wish there was a way to place products in a room without having to search for something that has just the right angle so you can get the design perspective right. It really wastes a lot of time searching. It’s especiallu frustrating when you find something that’s perfect for a design but because you can’t adjust it and change the shape to fit the space you’re working on you have to find something else. This is ALWAYS a problem with rugs. I’ve gotten so frustrated that I rarely use them in 3D room designs.

"The best software for Designers!"

Comments: Excellent, we love the product and it is very user friendly and intuitive.

Pros: [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and her team are constantly adding new features and expanding their offerings. Its an amazing product and platform that allows us to deliver professional looking 2D/3D design plans to our customers.

Cons: As the features expand it would be nice to see the ability to bring in a shot of a room and edit out existing furnishings to create a whole new look, I don't believe they are there yet.

"Great application for our every day work"

Comments: We are able to create boards very quickly, search easily, and send presentations to client right from the app. This is huge! Love the ability to turn off pricing and linking, so clients are focused on the products.

Pros: Interface and ease of use
Easy to clip items from sites
Export image and PDF is amazing, we use it all the time
Being able to duplicate designs is key!
Being able to re-order boards

Cons: Took us a while to properly set-up accounts so everyone could see all boards
These are more wish list items but would be nice to be able to select multiple images to re-size/delete/move
Would like to be able to clip multiple images (colors of something) off a site without having to create a new product each time.
The surface area for boards seems very small and we're cramming everything into a small space in the app. We often shrink it down, then re-size it
Would love to use delete button as well as trash can to remove items on boards

"Very happy customer!"

Comments: Overall I am really pleased I have been using the free version for almost a year and just upgraded in the past couple of weeks. The team at DF has been incredibly helpful answering questions and I am already seeing efficiencies in my process as I delve into more of the tools

Pros: The design tools are great - the clipper is the easiest I have used and the moodboards are simple to set up and easy to edit and make look beautiful. My clients always love them. The whole system is intuitive and very easy to use. Customer service has been excellent - very responsive.

Cons: I would love to see more project management and client management type of tools - this is very design focused but like most designers I am trying to streamline my tools so if this had tools like a time tracker, contract set up, platform for client to post stuff, calendar etc it would meet all my needs in one.

"Overall, I am very happy with Design Files."

Comments: Overall, I am happy with the program. However, If another program came available​ that would offer me these options (for the same price)I would most likely switch to another program that offered more customization.

Pros: Design files allow​ me to be able to streamline my design work and communicate/collaborate with clients virtually. This has helped my business immensely​. I do have a few things that I dislike/ wish that Design Files could offer so I recently looked into switching to another program. However, after researching other programs out there I felt that Design Files was the most​ affordable, simple to use and is currently the best program out there​ for virtual design.

Cons: I wish that you could customize things more, for example, the questionnaire, emails, the look for the site etc. my primary dislikes are that you can't provide coupon codes, that the chat doesn't​ carry over throughout the design and that you can't create a standard title block within the program.

"New user and loving it!"

Pros: I love that I can easily send a design (with many useful options on what client can see). I love that I can invoice and they can pay immediately. I love the page clipper, life saver!

Cons: The only things I’m missing are on the financials side. A “credit” for invoices when client pays ahead with deposits. I would love a to do list or a page to make notes so that when I do the initial consultation I can take my iPad with me to take notes in the software and keep everything together. Right now I’m doing a word document with letter head etc and sending it via email then once I get the job moving over to DF. I’d love to start the first impression with DF! I’d love to make my contracts in DF and Scope lists that I can “mark off” as I’ve purchased.

"Great programme"

Comments: Much quicker to do presentations. I really enjoy the program.

Pros: I loved how easy the design boards were to use and the interactive product approve/reject communicatin is with clients. The programme is easy to use, good value and the support is brilliant. The team seems keen to add new features suggested by designers and improve usability.

Cons: The product search tool is quite basic. Other sofware seem to do this much better and to a more advanced level.
Printing/ exporting the product lists doesn't seem to have very good formatting and there's a lot of white space in the presentation. I feel like the layout can be a little neater and more professional looking.
The Design Boards do not export / save as pdfs very well. the resolution is very low. I feel this can be an easy fix. I am based in the UK and there aren't any UK based products or paints. I believe Design Files willbe adding some features to rectify this.

"So easy. Always improving. I am excited to grow with DesignFiles."

Comments: This software is easy to learn and start using right away. This has me hooked. It still needs improvement for layout efficiencies so I can work faster. They are minor things but would make a huge difference for me. I am impressed at how new features rollout and get communicated to the membership. I know the team behind this software definitely cares about its functionality and that's amazing.

Pros: What I find extremely useful is the ability to add products to my Design Files library as I research the internet. This is the most time consuming part of my process, so this definitely adds efficiencies. Some websites cooperate more than others though. The new 3D Floorplan is great to get that at-a-glance visual. I need this and so do clients. With the most recent updates, I found it extremely useful for a living room project I just started.

Cons: As an experienced graphic designer now turned interior designer, software I am used to using has more features that make the layout process much faster. Has this software improved the time I spend on a project? Not necessarily, but the presentation has been praised by several clients. My intake process is also approached differently — not so based on style, etc. — so the questionnaire tool isn't as useful to me. Same with billing and project tracking. I already have a process, so I don't really utilize these tools right now, but I can see how they be very helpful to others.

"Changed my business"

Comments: It adds to the professionalism of my business. I am on the same page with my clients as I can add notes or see their comments/approvals. I also love the templates for invoicing, proposals, etc.

Pros: I really like the simplicity of the user interface. It streamlines the design process and adds only features that are useful. I also like the approval process.

Cons: I wish the invoicing software allowed for bank transfer.

"What a time saver! We Love this program!"

Comments: We have saved a great deal of time and have been surprised how easy the software is, NOT complicated at all! You just need to have patience and dive into the videos to make your start on it go quicker!

Pros: I love the ease of bringing in my own products to the library...Its so quick to set up new items in the system so it makes it 1 step instead of 4-5 steps to get the product set up in our system. Plus from a time saving point of view, creating a sell sheet or presentation is a piece of cake! Much easier and quicker than cuting and pasted in Illustrator or Photo Shop!

Cons: You can't add items in the description field if you need to put additional items in it deletes the prior items in the field instead of giving you an option to add more info. Would love to see Lexington, Norwalk & Tropitone, Alder & Tweed added to vendor list!

"Evoque Décor Review"

Comments: I think the biggest solution to my business is the communication features - the automated design questionnaire for the client and the direct messaging on the projects. Also the marketing ads for social media or email. The ease to change packages and pricing. Providing links to my website. The all-in-one platform lets me service clients in many different ways.

Pros: I love the all-in-one features for complete set up of an e-design service. Other features also make it possible to function as a full service interior designer by documenting hourly rates, creating invoices, keeping record of jobs completed and client info. I also love the on-boarding marketing features for promoting yourself on social media and through email. I was able to use your links on my website to redirect clients to my packages for purchase. Now that we have the floorplan and 3D feature along with the existing style board and shoppable product list feature, I have everything at my finger tips. I don't have to use other software to complete my work.

Cons: Although the new 3D feature is a welcome addition, the product inventory is limited and I can't use "Add to Designfiles" from other vendors as they are probably not 3D configured. As a result, the style board and 3D rendering are not in alignment and could cause concern for clients. Would love additional on-boarding marketing features like promotional video explaining generic topics (i.e., FAQ - What is the difference between e-design and full service interior design? How It Works video?)

"Loving DesignFiles! It has completely cut out a part of my process that was so time consuming!"

Comments: I have been able to reduce my emails and keep all my client questionnaires, comments, and questions within DesignFiles. I bill my clients within DesignFiles (looks and feels more professional than Quickbooks or Stripe) It has also changed my process to be significantly more efficient. Their Customer Service team is insanely quick to respond and help with anything. Thank you!

Pros: I love being able to share the project with my clients outside of email and within an organized platform. It is so much more efficient, and my client and I can keep track of where we are with products via the comments.
The easy to use floor plan and 3D floor plan tools along with the exportable pdf with shopping links (that I can add my rsytle / SideDoor links to) are why I signed on with DesignFiles.

Cons: The size of the design boards are not ideal for blogging, Pinterest, or social media. It would be great if we could pick a size before we start a design board so when they are exported they are ready to go and do not need to be resized or edited for marketing. I would love to be able to upload and use my branded fonts within the design boards and in client communications. It would be great if I could add my affiliate links to the library of products. Lastly, I am impressed by the 3D floor plan capability and the 3D furniture options available. I would also love to see even more 3D product options (for example, I use a lot of Four Hands products, and if the 3D library included more trade items from manufacturers like Four Hands and other SideDoor vendors, that would be amazing)!

"Designfiles"

Comments: Great customer service and enjoyable software to use.

Pros: Love the shop it options and approve tab for clients. Love the boards being able to be sent with all items listed. Clients usually quite impressed with this feature.

Cons: Biggest issue is the quality of graphics when boards are printed out. Lets the software down from a professional perspective !!!!
Client not being able to approve item when it is to be purchased by them!!!
Having to go back to app every single time I finish something on a board....the questionnaire not having the ability to customise per project....not having a timer option per project to keep track of hours......... having to resend ALL boards when changes are made on just one or two??? Very confusing to keep track for the client and myself.....I had a huge issue with one board that ended up being sent to a client without me even knowing???!! I made a comment on one item and it went directly to the client before I had even approved it being shared???
Paint colours should be saved from last viewed so we dont have to search for same colours everytime
Issues when trying to upload own photos to library......
Quikcbooks still not syncing even when problem was attempted to be rectified ..... no idea what to do

"Ease to Use"

Comments: Customer Support is great, always get my questions answered and Customer Support listens to suggestions to improve product and many things I know that I have suggested has been implemented, thus appreciative of that.

Pros: Love the Clipper. Creating board are easy to do with clipper and automatic load of the website where product came from. Design Files is easy to use, looks great, and feels good and professional and I don't mind sharing nice boards with my client. Love the idea of client approve/decline and allowance of client Shop It on their own when I choose to work that way. It's not complicated.

Cons: During the editing a board process, it was ohhhh so wonderful when you have multiple boards in one project to be able to click to the next board without having to GO BACK TO APP repeated to grab the next board, edit, and then GO BACK TO APP again for the next on and on. Each time you Go Back to App and come back, you have start all over again selecting the Project again you are working on. Should be able to continue move from one board to the next to the next as desired without having to going back to the app every time. ...Another area that I liked least was there was no financial part in the system, which is very important to me, (I personally don't like Quickbooks and do yet need to know my financials), however Design Files are beginning to add Financial aspects and I trust they will continue to develop that part; hopefully to the point it will become that one stop shop that we need as a design business owner.

"Overall a Game Changing Product!"

Pros: I find that the product is quite user friendly and easy to use. I LOVE the beautiful and professional way all client presentation documents are laid out. Am so grateful that the product list presentations are automatically generated as you create your moodboard/render. Appreciate so much the Photoshop like features that are built into the mood board software. LOVE that I can manually cut out photos and distort images.

Cons: These are some updates that would really be nice. Inclusion of these features would really help my business run more smoothly and efficiently, and these would help save me TONS of time. When adding products to a client project it would be nice if the page did not always jump back to the first page of products every time you add a product to the project. Would also be nice to have a way to bulk add products to a project. Wish you could search products by a category - like side tables, sofas, rugs, etc. A way to favorite products in the pre-loaded products section. Or a way to be able to add them to your own library.  Would really be great if the client did not have to set-up a login to Design Files to be able to access the presentations. My clients never remember the password they set-up and constantly have difficulty then logging in. Would also be great if there was a way to share the client presentations through a link so that this link could be included in an email, etc. Would LOVE a way to search for a color in the text editing portion of the moodboards by a hex code so that I could get my exact branded colors in my text. Would LOVE if there was a way to have more text editing functions in the design rationale section. Like bolding, underlining, italics, bullet points, numbered lists/outlines, etc. Would LOVE to see a Design Files app. I constantly need to pull up Design Files on my phone when I am out shopping, having a quick meeting with clients, etc.

"Efficient and effective product!"

Pros: Very easy to use and everything is right in front of you without having to go back and forth. Customer-friendly, affordable and a time-saver

Cons: I would like to see coupon codes being able to be used by clients, especially first-time clients.

"Design Files is my online assistant!"

Comments: The team is amazing! They are constantly striving to be innovative with Design Files and take feedback seriously. There have been so many updates and new features since the initial launch of the site and with every change, the program gets easier to use. It is extremely professional and worth every penny!

Pros: I love Design Files! It is so helpful to have everything that I need to send professional concept packages to my clients. The web clipper makes it easy to grab images, information and pricing for any product online and the editing features allow me to control what I want my clients to see. The new room rendering application is great to show clients what their space will look, with the actual pieces. This is extremely helpful from a visual standpoint and so much easier than photoshop.

Cons: The only con that I have is I would like to be able to create invoices for my clients. Hopefully this is coming soon...
