Comments: When translating all marketing and software texts through Lingohub, we benefit from the ease of use and the support by the software. Translation memory and machine translation help our in-house and external translators. Support from Lingohub answered to our requests and fixed any problems we encountered.

Pros:

User-friendly interface for translation to multiple languages. Translators are supported by a translation memory and machine translation. The API allow uploading texts from 3rd party development systems and also HTML from webpages and downloading the result. Online software ensures that multiple translators can work in parallel. Support team helped us solve project-related questions.

Cons:

A major upgrade to the LingoHub software in 2019 led to slower response times earlier this year. Fixed by now (September 2019).

Great Micro-Frontend development support

Comments: It has been a great process improvement for our core team and for teams that are using our platform.

Pros:

Integration with source code repository. Export formats from Lingohub that are compatible with our translation provider. Import of term base. Machine translation.

Cons:

Can't bulk "machine translate" a bunch of new strings.

A powerful tool for texts and their translations

Comments: LH saves me time, improves collaboration across teams and ensures consistent content as it can also serve as a lexicon. For me, it's an indispensable tool for professional text creation and translation. Quick response from the team when problems arose.

Pros:

Lingohub is a helpful tool for anyone who needs to create, manage and translate large volumes of texts efficiently. Especially in a large team and when several languages are used.

Cons:

This only concerns minor details. The user interface could sometimes be a little more intuitive, which would make it easier for beginners to better understand and utilise all the possibilities of the programme.

Could have been much better

Comments: I was happy when I finally switched the teams and didn't have to use it anymore.

Pros:

- At least it has API access so we don't have to work too much on the buggy UI

Cons:

- Bugs in UI - plenty and with each visual update we could see new/more. - API for automation could be better - Lack of visualization for whitespaces - doesn't apparently care about non-breaking vs soft spaces (which is crucial for french language) - The text editor is tiny, doesn't allow to visualize where linebreaks where put easily (sometimes word wrapping can trick you). - On numerous occasions tricks like `out of service` and `laggy experience` that eventually was turned into `planned maintenance` that was never announced. I understand someone can have technical issues but trying to lie to your customers about it is low. It was not on one occasion the service was out and we didn't get any prior information about those so called `planned maintanances` - The history view is not really that helpful - no real text diffing available to review changes.

Intuitive online CAT tool

Comments: Easy to use, but with some limitations. I'm used to working with the tools it offers, and I'm happy with them.

Pros:

LH is a very intuitive CAT tool. Multiple file formats are supported. Quality checking, translation memory and machine translation have been improved. It makes the translation process easier.

Cons:

Over the past year, LingoHub has gone through a lot of updates, and it has been quite difficult to keep up with them. Now it seems to be stable, and we have a special section for the updates.

Lingohub making multilingual SaaS development easy

Comments: We can do all our translation needs within the tooling. Their support is responding super swiftly and we have the impression that our feature requests were listened to and addressed accordingly.

Pros:

Lingohub understands the needs and processes of software developers. Their tooling seamlessly integrates with our development workflows and is overall easy to use.

Cons:

The last iteration of the UI was a bit aged but they vastly improved in their current update.

Quick & easy translation process

Comments: Overall, I’ve had a great experience. It’s made translating a lot easier and more efficient, and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable, easy-to-use translation tool without the hassle of installations.

Pros:

What I like most is how quick and easy it is to use—no installation needed, and I can access it right from my browser. The process for translating in-app copy is really comfortable, and the platform is simple to navigate. I also love that I can collaborate with others in real-time, which saves me loads of time.

Cons:

It can take some time to find specific strings, but it's a minor issue overall.

Great tool to handle all your translation to dos

Comments: It is a nice tool to navigate thought all your translations and nudge your translators. I work with the tool at least once a week and it takes me just a few minutes to do all my tasks

Good overview on open translations. Useful proposed translations.

Cons:

Hard to compare translations in other languages

Great product, easy to use

Pros:

I really like the product as the setup is easy and it helps reducing errors. You won't have any not translated keys on production.

Cons:

The transition from the old UI to the new one was complicated for us at the beginning.

Pros:

Lingohub is a very efficient tool for any companies that work internationally and want to provide their services to different readers and in different languages. I use it on a daily basis as a translator for our project and it's by far one of the best tools.

Cons:

There is currently nothing really bad, some hiccups here and there but nothing major to not like.

Essential to reaching our customer base

Pros:

The workflow is straightforward, and makes our import and export of translations a breeze so we can get to market quicker.

Cons:

Occasionally, if a projects structure changes there is little opportunity to correct this in Lingohub and it may still export files from the old structure.Would be good to be able to export strings with comments in a spreadsheet format.

LingoHub makes a product managers life easier 🎉

Comments: It's quite helpful and allows me to do things where I normally would need to involve engineering.

Pros:

As a product manager, everything I can do without engineering is a good thing. Especially when it comes to copy, which is a big part of design and thus of product. Being able to quickly change copy which is confusing to users is really great. Same thing is true for folks working in support. Also, when we ship new features, it's great that I can easily do the translations and adjust links quickly without the need to involve engineering.

Cons:

UI could be a bit better, some things are quite hided (for example how to navigate back to the dashboard to create a PR). Same thing is true for some features (like pulling new data from the repo). But the support is always quick with responses and helpful. What we have not used yet is the collaboration feature on transaltions as we are working mostly in Slack so an integration would be helpful here.

Overall huge help to our translation process

Comments: Overall this has been a huge benefit to our team and saved us lots of time and effort

Pros:

It's extremely easy to add many translations and distribute the work to many team members for efficiency. The machine translations are also a huge benefit that prevent lots of manual back and forth to google translate

Cons:

the navigation menus, particularly around settings are fairly obtuse

Great Product, Great Support!

Comments: Our experience has been top notch. We went from a solution that was labor intensive and poor quality to a service/solution that quickly got our entire site localized. > 15k translated segments spanning 23 languages and we've had very few complaints from our user base.

Pros:

Platform is easy to use and provides several tools/features to help manage translation segments. Support staff are attentive and work hard to provide assistance or fulfill special requests. System was very easy to integrate into our stack using Git Repository.

Cons:

I'd like to see better order management features when selecting files to translate. Additionally, the Search filters could be more robust.

Easy to use with Gitlab integration

Pros:

The software is easy to setup and integrate into our workflow, also a very big plus is the GitLab integration which is flawless. Also the Deepl integration and translation memory is very helpful especially for small teams like us.

Cons:

We had a few problems with the automatic HTML tag detection in translated texts but these did not occur recently. Maybe they got fixed.

Great product for managing translations

Pros:

It´s very easy to manage different kinds of translation files (for Android, iOS, or Web) in a single web-based editor that´s straightforward to use. Saved us a lot of time and effort managing those files manually. Also, the integration with GitHub is relatively easy to set up and works fine.

Cons:

While using the product you sometimes have to look twice to see, which project you are currently working on. The information is there, but not always on the first view.

Great platform for companies

Pros:

Very easy to use Translation suggestions which make working faster and easier (for example when you don't know one specific word) Fast performance and (next to) no downtime Friendly contact Simple, easy to understand interface Good for the organisation of larger projects

Cons:

For me as a translator I don't see any improvements.

Translation made easy

Comments: We were able to cut the turnaround time of getting things translated from 15 days to 2 days

Pros:

Ease of use. Multiple ways of pushing the strings into the tool.

Cons:

It should automatically pull out only unique strings from file and put it on the dashboard for translation. Will make life more easy for everyone

Convenient translation tool

Pros:

- Easy to navigate between languages - Automatic translations are good

Cons:

- Sometimes variables are rewritten - Sometimes pull translations to GIT is not working, without reason

Great translation/localization tool

Comments: Great tool, I really like it!

Pros:

The ease of use and MT engine is better than any other I use. This tool is very user-friendly and I have no problems using it.

Cons:

The fact that I cannot download my translation in order to run a spellcheck with a software I use for my job, so they might be typos I can't spot, which is a bit unfortunate as you have to run the software on every segment.

Great Tool for App Localization

Pros:

Easy editor, great tool for automatic for automation of all localization tasks for a developer

Cons:

I wish there were a few more features: - support for localizing iOS App Metadaa using fastlane - checks if the localized string contains whitespace at beginning or end, or too many around placeholders.

My Review

Comments: Neutral - i like the features and pricing but I don't like the UX.

Pros:

I like the Github integration very much. I also like how easy it is to share a link with translators to get them started quickly.

Cons:

I don't like the UI, especially how I add terms. That dialog annoys me!

Useful and easy to use

Pros:

It is easy to understand, however - if you need it - support is fast and patient.

Cons:

I don't have any real cons, user interface was adjusted to make it clearer some time ago

Best integration we did for translations

Pros:

It was really to setup with our GitHub account. The translation editor is easy to use and it fit with our translators. We can push new translation versions really quick in production!

Cons:

When we don’t use it much, we still pay the same amount. Sometime we don’t use it for few months.
