Why you should also try ITGlue and start loving your JOB.

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: My overall experience has always been better with ITGlue. As I am working for an MSP, I rely a lot on ITGlue for recording and accessing data/documentation.

Pros:

As a day-to-day user of ITGlue, in both using existing Data and documenting new data, I find it easy to work with ITGlue. I also like their efforts in merging AI capabilities to make it interesting and less and less painful to manage. I have been using Datto SaaS integration and I am happy to see they have made improvements to it and now we can see more information than before. This means they are heading in the right direction and listening to feedback. Also, I highly appreciate them bringing in Secure Credential Sharing into ITGlue, which is a must for MSPs. Now we can stop depending on third-party solutions and share credentials with peace of mind.

Cons:

I believe NetworkGlue is a feature that should be built into standard ITGlue, instead of selling it separately. Again, this is just my idea.

Consolidating systems into one with IT Glue

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Combining all of our IT documentation that has been saved over the years in personal folders, network share folders and invidvidual application knowledge bases into one go-to location. This saves a ton of time when onboarding new technicians so they don't have to learn where all the varied locations for help.

Pros:

The biggest value we have gotten out of IT Glue is gathering all of our documentation, vendor contacts, assets and passwords into one platform. We no longer have to scour multiple network share folders to find support documentation on a particular application or send out a message to the team about who has the contact info for XYZ vendor. We have also seen a reduction in our budget spending by eliminating the need for a separate asset management tool, password vault and knowledge base platform. All 3 of those functions have now been consolidated into IT Glue for one go-to location for all of this information.

Cons:

Importing existing data into IT Glue has been the most challenging piece in two ways. Because it is cloud based, the amount of time it takes to upload data by csv for example can vary greatly depending on where your upload lands in their "queue". I have had a single csv with 2 total lines of password data take upwards of 20 minutes to get the confirmation that it has been uploaded but then a second csv with 50+ lines upload within seconds. There hasn't been a way to import passwords directly into a user's personal password vault. We first have to upload them to the shared password root folder and the user has to modify them to be visible to only themselves. This leaves their personal data to be briefly open to anyone with access to the password module to click on those entries until they are moved to their private folder.

CL IT Glue Review

3.0 11 months ago

Pros:

The main structure and functionality is reasonably good.

Cons:

The search function is very poor. Results can be varied, and it frustrates my team regularly. The lack of ability to imbed/import certain formats into the documents/articles is annoying at times.

Fantastic tool

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: This is a fantastic tool that levels up MSPs and enterprise helpdesks. I love the Flexible Assets and ready access to site info.

Pros:

- All the info for an organization is in one place - Easy to train up new team members and make them seem like level 1.5 or 2 right out the gate - Easy to find where to add new data - Accessible from anywhere - Integrations

Cons:

- Outages take our entire business offline due to the passwords being locked up. Happily, they are rare. - Kaseya support is frequently unhelpful and difficult. Fortunately, this tool is pretty self-explanatory and requires little support.

ITGlue: Multifunctional and Very Easy to Use

4.0 11 months ago

Pros:

ITGlue is so multifunctional that it can help centralize the storage of your documents, SOPs, Passwords and such. It also helps in storing asset and vendor info. Collaboration is also simplified in this platform so even if your colleagues is from another country, you are sure that you will be able to share with them the info they need in a very secure manner.

Cons:

The platform can do better when it comes to personalization such as letting the admins personalize the welcome email they send to their new users. Access permissions can be expanded to have a much customized access delegations to every user.

Comments: IT Glue has been a tremendous add to our stack.

Pros:

- Integration with our RMM and PSA works seamlessly - Flexible assets that are ready for import have a great amount of coverage. - Reputation offers a way to motivate employees to engage with documentation

Cons:

- There is not much I don't like about IT Glue, but if I had to choose something it would be the ability to have a templatized environment for different typed of clients.

Your go-to tool for IT management

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: I love the flexibility you have with the flexibel assets and integration with DattoRMM. It makes your everyday job so much easier, and you get stuff done even quicker! Also sharing specific assets and documentation directly with your customer trough MyGlue and collaborate in knowledge is a big plus!

Pros:

Perfect integration with DattoRMM and the global search works.

Cons:

The browser plugin: It sometimes doesn't show the password although the URL is exactly the same and when you look up the password you have to search it two or three (when you need OTP) times.

Why should you pick IT Glue over anything else? Is it worth it?

5.0 last year

Comments: Apart from the significant pros I have mentioned above, we recently started using IT Glue check lists to eliminate the requirement of painfully maintaining documents especially when we are doing new users/leavers or other work that requires sustaining a checklist.

Pros:

I like how it integrates with almost all of the other systems used by MSPs across the globe, bringing all information into a single space for easy visibility and management.I like how it lets you link flexible assets with each other. For example, if you add an application to ITGlue, you can connect all related documents and configuration items to that specific application. So, when someone looks at it, at a glance they get a picture of what else is linked with it without scratching their head or wasting time to figure out related items. Also, I like how it lets control access to certain information. You can decide who has access to certain information. This is an essential feature in the MSP space when security is a major concern because not everybody needs access to everything.

Cons:

I would like to see an improved version of Datto SaaS integration rather than just displaying a summary of the SaaS backups on the landing page for each client.

IT Glue - The best storage of all IT items

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: It's the best place to save passwords, contacts, documentation, and everything. No more spreadsheets that can be compromised, or not kept updated. The audit log is good too so you can see who or when something was updated.

Pros:

The ability to save everything that IT uses, for all users, so nothing gets lost and it's secure.

Cons:

Some of the categories could be improved, but they are always updating it.

Glue-ing IT together

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Really good - consistent documentation templates are available, standardising customer info for the engineering and service teams.

Pros:

Brings all the critical info together into intuitive and easy-to-use screen. Easy to setup users. Integrates well with the suite of products.

Cons:

Little bit tricky to configure the customers into groups when they require higher authorisation of staff accessing the information. MyGlue pricing is quite high.

ITGlue set our business up to truly Scale

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall, documentation is the foundation for any MSP and ITGlue is the best way to build that documentation in a way that helps an MSP scale.

Pros:

ITGlue was the first platform we used to centralize our knowledge and build data and documentation in a way that could scale with a growing company.

Cons:

Searching in ITGlue requires training and is unintuitive. User permission management has evolved but is still silly.

IT Glue - The best product for your team, no matter the department

5.0 last year

Comments: IT Glue allows us to centralize nearly all of the information we need to keep track of, and gives us the next best thing to a dedicated HUD for status. That said, the fact that it can alert us to critical issues completely resolves the HUD issue and being able to provide access to multiple departments for centralized documentation company-wide is exceptionally helpful.

Pros:

Having our information in one easy to access (and manage) place, as well as knowing it is secure and protected are both key features. The ability to also integrate with just about anything and use those integrations to keep our information not only centralized, but also updated in real time is another boon to this product.

Cons:

Importing data from another tenant should be simpler and more complete. If you want to migrate to your own instance, it's not as simple as receiving an export and then just uploading it. It would be much better if a 'cross-tenant migration' could be accomplished by importing a complete export rather than having to pay for the back-end transfer, or manually importing each piece of information, one item at a time.

Makes documentation a breeze!

5.0 last year

Pros:

Integrations with RMM and PSA make linking items to each other a breeze. Love the document creation platform which makes it super simple to create and publish SOP docs. Going back to the first point, their related items feature is the bomb. Linking passwords to configurations, or switches to firewalls, you name it, it makes finding the information you need super simple!

Cons:

Very occasionally, their system becomes inaccessible to me because of some internal DNS issue. This has not happened in a number of months.

A great managing tool

5.0 last year

Comments: I never realized the importance of a password manager and knowledge base solution, and I am not going back to the dark.

Pros:

IT Glue is an amazing password and asset manager, is very easy to use and having a global search for those assets you can't seem to find manually is great.

Cons:

There are certainly times the servers are down si we have to wait for them to come back online, but it never exceeds a couple of minutes a month
