5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: ManageEngine OpManager is a solid choice for network monitoring, especially for all types of businesses looking for a budget-friendly, feature-rich solution. It offers real-time monitoring, automation, and customizable dashboards, making it a strong choice for IT teams.

Pros:

It provides real-time monitoring of networks, servers, applications, and devices, ensuring proactive issue detection. Works well with devices from Cisco, HP, Dell, Juniper, and many others. Supports monitoring VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud environments like AWS and Azure. The dashboard is customizable and provides a clear visual representation of network health. Works well with ServiceDesk Plus, Jira, and other IT management solutions. Helps IT teams by automating routine tasks and providing alerts via SMS, email, or webhooks.

Cons:

The base package is affordable, but some advanced features (e.g., NetFlow monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring) require additional licenses. While it integrates well with ManageEngine’s ecosystem, support for third-party integrations is limited options. Limited Cloud Monitoring. While customizable, setting up advanced reports, scripts, and workflows can be challenging without technical expertise.

Pros:

Using ManageEngine OpManager we can easily discover devices on the network and map them into respective categories thereby saving time and effort. A lot of templates are provided to make the performance monitoring more manageable without needing settings up.

Cons:

I observed a lack of depth with regards to the monitoring of storages. It is characterized by the absence of more complex storage analytics which are useful for dealing with poor performance.

Great IPAM solution for smaller businesses.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We started out using OpUtils for the IPAM solution. As we wanted a more feature rich application that can support more devices, more reporting, and a better network overview, we opted for OpManager. The Purchase and implementation of this product was easy and quick. We use multiple ManageEngine products and have always found them easy to setup, use, integrate with each other, and their support is solid.

Pros:

The setup of this product is easy and straight forward. It has a good management interface, easy to add devices and has a great IPAM interface.

Cons:

The biggest issue I have with this software is by default it includes menu options for features that aren't included but additional purchases after the fact. Some of these cannot be disabled and it's annoying. It also has alerts it pushes daily, for me the ipv6 alerts are driving me mad. We don't use this, and I can't turn this alert off, so I see it every time I login.

Alternatives Considered: IPAM

Reasons for Choosing ManageEngine OpManager: We wanted more features, and this was the next logical step.

Switched From: ManageEngine OpUtils

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine OpManager: The feature set for the money is just better. Maybe the interface isn't as pretty, but that's subjective anyways.

Best NMS application for ICT professionals

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: As an OPM Administrator I'm weekly & dally communicating with the Zoho Support. So, they have given good support service for my all the works. If any issues they are attending to work as soon as submitting support ticket. Team follow up is good recording our issues and solutions are providing with new releases also they explain about issue and difficult point in deeply. Team support is available even in the weekends . With overall experience I'm very much happy with ManageEngine.

Pros:

Application has very user-friendly environment. Functionality is very accurate when compare to other systems. Device real time monitoring, email and SMS alert are very useful for us as ICT & system engineers. They have built trust between the application and Zoho team support. reports are very easy to handle specially downtime reports and availability reports are very useful for our KPI indicates.

Cons:

Application updated are releasing continually that time we must get downtime to update application. SMS function should work without discontinuation some time due to com port errors SMS is getting stop but Email are working as expected. Some time browser cash issues are generating so that time we need to clear complete browser cash and use application. Other than I don't have any issue with the product.

Alternatives Considered: PRTG

Reasons for Switching to ManageEngine OpManager: Good support service, they identify our requirement and gave all the instruction with live demos. Their sales team also very punctual and gave best support to select product as we need.

4.0 11 months ago

Pros:

OpManager provides a unified dashboard that offers a holistic view of the our network infrastructure, including servers, devices and services.OpManager allows us to configure customizable alerts and notifications based on predefined thresholds or specific events. It monitors key performance metrics such as CPU usage, memory utilization, bandwidth consumption, and application response times, providing us with valuable insights into the health and performance of their network infrastructure. It supports distributed monitoring architectures and can scale to monitor thousands of devices across multiple locations. Overall, We love ManageEngine OpManager for its robust feature set, intuitive interface, and scalability, making it a valuable tool for us to efficiently monitor and manage our network infrastructure.

Cons:

OpManager's licensing model is based on the number of devices or sensors being monitored, which can lead to significant costs for larger deployments, The abundance of options and configuration settings may lead to a steep learning curve. there are areas where it could streamline the user experience, optimize resource utilization, and improve integration capabilities to better meet the needs of users.
