Daycare Uses KidKare

Comments: So far so good. I cant say a lot of complaints as I am a new user.

Pros:

as a mom having kidkare has given me some piece of mind and easy in dealing with the day care provider that my child goes to. easy to use and communicate with my daycare provider

Cons:

I am pretty new to using this software so i do not have a lot of bad to say about it at this time. It seems to be okay.

Not a 1 stop shop

Comments: Only positive of Kidkare for me is I do not have to mail in my Food program paperwork it can all be done online. Otherwise Kidkare is not useful.

Pros:

Aligning with the food program is a positive and convenient part of the software.

Cons:

It's doesn't align with any other state standards: Paperwork, assessments, no uploading, loggin of daily activities, no parent/teacher communication, just billing/accounting & food program alignment. It needs to go much further to be comparable to others.

Easy-to-use

Comments: Great way to stay up with state requirements while providing nutritional products and keeping track of them

Pros:

That it combines several items need led to effectively run a business such as a daycare so easy

There was nothing about the software that I did not like

Comments: Tracking children and meals are super easy with this program.

Pros:

This program is very easy to use. Tracking the children and meals have been super easy.

Cons:

There is nothing that I don't like so far with this program, except maybe not being able to bring back a withdrawn child easily.

Feeding Future

Comments: Using this software we can accelerate our work,being organized and make monthly reports from the commodity of our home ,It's a big help in this field , we are always very busy taking care of our futures

Pros:

-The way in which we can create our own menus . -The software avoid us the hand writing. -It help us to be organized.

Cons:

-The system is always slow down. - The software have many pages to navigate. - The way we can use the copy option. - Printing.

Data entry

Pros:

the ease of templates: no additional writing necessary

Cons:

When I review my entries I have to save again, even though there are no changes

kidKAre easey to use

Pros:

this program is easy to use and manoover.

Cons:

I wish there was less scrolling up and down, it could be designed better so everything could fit in one screen.

Great Software

Comments: My overall experience using KidKare has been wonderful .!

The software works great it makes my life so much easier when I am working at work. I recommend it to everyone

There is nothing I like the least about KidKare are it works great and I really love it alot. Such an amazing software

New Notetaking System

Comments: NA

Pros:

The thing I like most about this system is as information is entered its saved immediately. I can take notes on students and it is saved within their virtual profile. Almost like a gradebook in some ways.

Cons:

The thing I like least is that the website does not tell you when you either did not mark a student or marked something wrong.

Kidkare is great!

Comments: I truly enjoy using kidkare. It’s very user friendly and helps me keep track of what the kids ate, who’s all here, and the monthly calendar is a great tool too. I was a little intimidated by it at first but one I learned the ropes it was easy!

Pros:

It’s super user friendly. I like the side bar hat jays out all your options so your able to quickly get to where you are going! It makes checkin in kids and logging food each day a breeze.

Cons:

Sometimes I feel like it’s really slow or take forever to load . This can be frustrating when your trying to add information quickly,

Comments: Just dislike when we can't enter at time of service because KidKare may be down. Seems to do it alot towards end of month or fisrt 3-5 of month....

Pros:

Love the fact I can add the kids photo. I like that infants are separated- very confusing when on MM... But alot of the infant under 12mos eat same solid food as other kids., would be nice if copied foods from older children and we choose to delete what they didn't eat, and change as needed....

Cons:

Can't easily access the children's ages. We use this alot for if they are on Voucher program. It ask for year and the months of the children. It use to be in the kids information area when it was MM.... alot of the infant under 12mos eat same solid food as other kids., would be nice if copied foods from older children showed up and we choose to delete what they didn't eat, and change as needed.... since I puree my food for the younger kids.

KidKare is the way to go

Comments: Overall, I have always had an enjoyable and smooth experience with this software.

Pros:

This particular software was very easy to use. It is quite intricate and instructional as well as enjoyable to use.

Cons:

There was nothing that I did not like with regard to this particular software. I enjoy its simplicity.

Making my work so easy

Comments: The staff always answer my questions and help me resolve whatever issues I have. As busy as they are, they take the ccx time to return my calls and emails in a timely manner. I truly appreciate what the staff have done for me and my organization MAKING MY WORK SO EASY.

Pros:

Software is easy to use. The best part is the supportive and friendly staff. They are so helpful.

Cons:

None. I like this software alot. If there are issues, the wonderful staff helps me resolve them.

Pros:

I'm completely computer illiterate!! I have no problem entering all of my information daily. It's super easy to follow and there's always help a phone call away.

Cons:

I think the thing I like least is that you can't enter information the next day without assistance. Some days are so difficult to do everything required for life and the time is up to enter your meals. Very stressful.

Terrible in every single way.

Pros:

It's almost better than nothing. But not quite. Due to an unfortunate government contract, I am required to use this system. I was previously using pen and paper to report childcare attendance and meals. This is astoundingly worse than that.

Cons:

Terrible user interface. Updates are slow and sloppy, leaving numerous errors for the user to fix. Server gets bogged down. Too much personal information is required for children and their families. Menus and functions are confusing and poorly designed. There is nothing good or useful about this system at all in any way and the creator should feel bad about himself. He did a bad thing and he should feel bad.

Comments: it has been breeze for keep records on children and food program

Pros:

It has been so easy to use! The only thing that has been a challenge for me is posting the food of the plan menu for the week. I will have a day almost posted and hit to stroll down and I end up deleting what I have done. It would be so helpful if you had to hit to DELETE to delete your work!

Cons:

using the month menu planning form I have to much to do to sit here and write you fourty work it is simpl I like or I do not

Comments: It is way better than the paper menus. I have had some items not save in the menu. When I have tried to contact help/customer service, the response is absolutely terrible or nonexistent. But overall, I am satisfied with its function.

Pros:

fairly user friendly, the software has improved continually.

Cons:

the save reminder button is annoying. It appears when you have not entered anything. And sometimes (rarely)it does not save what you entered. The whole grain tab is not good. It should just be included in the drop down food.

Comments: Overall is it a great site, you just need to bring some things up to date. Other than that is a easy to use site.

Pros:

I would say pros would be easy to use. I do think it needs some more work, but over all its easy to use.

Cons:

You have to switch to another page to see how many times you selected a child for a meal. Or inputting the check in and check out times. You must go back and put AM or PM. Also I don't like the time out per day. Some days are so busy by the time I go entered my computer is either dead or the page just keeps loading and it takes up a lot of time especially when I am tried and just ready for bed.

I think some of the food in the selections are odd, they have food i dont think anyone would serve a child.

My Experience Using KidKare

Comments: I love using KidKare ... Even though I write down each day's menus on my own forms, it's nice knowing I don't have to have copies of everything any more. One copy and it's done!

Pros:

I like that it is easy to use - like all programs, it took a bit of getting used to but once I did, everything fell into a smooth transition. There are also parts of KidKare that I don't use because I keep records in a separate place on my computer, but it's nice knowing the option is available if I choose to change my record-keeping.

Cons:

Apparently, the "Notes" on the bottom of each meal aren't viewable by my food rep. I wish these notes were available and viewable to everyone because if I miss noting something on a calendar, it would be nice to know there is a "back-up" of my notations.

Comments: I love it and now with all the great benefits online with the visits, love it!!

I enjoy using KidKare because it is easy. The time it takes me to log in and make an entry, I'm surfing the web looking for projects for the children.

Cons:

sometimes it's hard to delete a section of a day after it has been saved.

saves so much time

Comments: I don't have to use paper menus and I can always go back to check my work

Pros:

all children's information is recorded so I don't have to enter their info everyday. It keeps trackof their birthday. Choices of food are easy tomake

takes a few seconds for meal to be saved. I'm usually in a hurry and when I enter meal I usually get an error message.

Great Software

Comments: Love It!!!!

Pros:

I really enjoy how fast and easy you can work with the app on any device. I have never had any difficulties with the software and SWHD can fix any issue that I have had in the past. I highly recommend this software to providers.

Cons:

Time to Time the software will run slow due to high usage but nothing major.
