Simply the best

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Just superb.
I have been using and implementing Connecteam for a decade, in organizations as small as 8 employees, and as large as 400 in Hospitality - and cant recommend them enough!

Pros:

Connecteam product is top notch, very intuitive. Tech support is first class And the continous product improvments are inspiring.

Cons:

New pricing is a bit tricky, and could be more forgiving. However, the free option is good at small scale

Connecteam Review

4.0 last month New

Comments: Overall it's a great app that offers a lot of avenues to communicate with team members.

Pros:

It's so much more than just a messaging app to communicate with colleagues. I love the knowledge base that allows us to access important documents on a moment's notice. I love the ability to "recognize" staff for achievements for all staff to see. It's great to be able to create courses for educating our staff on important information. Updates are a great way to get information to our team that ensures they see the message directly rather than getting lost in the midst of all the messages. We love that it is HIPAA compliant!

Cons:

Connecteam can be slow and that is frustrating. It's not always slow, but definitely can be. I don't like the way notifications are set up as it makes it look like you have a message when you really don't. I often miss personal messages because of the way the notifications are set up, which is definitely frustrating. The mobile app is convenient for general staff, but it is not great for administrators to use. Our company runs 24 hours a day but administrators are not at their desk to use the desktop version for 24 hours a day.

Doesn't REALLY integrate with Quick Books

2.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Nice and knowledgeable for the most part but don't seem to see any issue with things like this. Making me question my huge investment. Yes - for all of these great things - this is a major drawback and causing wasted admin time.

Pros:

Amazing product that does so much. Knowledgebases and scheduling work so well. Communications and documentation is top notch.

Cons:

They say they integrate with Quick Books. However, they only "push" payroll totals / regular hours to QBO. Connecteam allows the separation of hours by category per employee. For example: I have staff that work in multiple departments and their schedule and time sheets are broken out by those departments. Even though I pay for the top tier of all of their products, we have to print a spreadsheet and enter time by department/category by hand for all 60 employees. -- this is not integration.

All in one solution that works!

5.0 last month New

Comments: We now couldn’t live without Connecteam. It’s all in one solutions are perfect for the people side of business and the platform is constantly being upgraded which is great.

Pros:

Connecteam covers all aspects of our HR requirements and allows us to keep rostering, communications and training all in one place.

Cons:

The number of features that you require an expert plan to access. The expert plan is extremely expensive and we cannot justify the upgrade expense.

Comments: Excellent support, fantastic system. So glad i found it 4 years ago

Connecteam is the best time tracking and communication platform!

5.0 last week New

Comments: Connecteam has been a gamechanger for us. We have used other communication and time tracking applications in the past, but this is by far the best and most integrated for both aspects. It's also cut down a lot with disagreements and/or questions about time and clock-ins. I would never go back to using another platform.

Pros:

It's very easy to navigate the app on both the supervisor and employee side. The sign off on shifts and automatic clock-outs have saved us a lot of headaches with time tracking. It's also been great to be able to use the location tracking, when needed. It's easy to pull hours and utilize the reports for payroll. I love it!

Cons:

I really haven't found anything that I don't like.

Great System for Multifaceted Hybrid Teams

5.0 last week New

Comments: We are a new business with a unique blend of remote administrative staff and on site service staff, and appreciate the options and flexibility of this app. The level to which we can customize our teams and communications to our unique industry has been integral into keeping our teams functioning.

Pros:

The customer service is excellent and provides timely assistance through a variety of communication channels. On the user end, it is intuitive and accessible to my staff. The scheduling capabilities allow for a wide variety of roles and shift hours, and the reporting is easier to access than many other scheduling and payroll apps.

Cons:

The learning curve for managers is a bit steep some times, occasionally requiring a lot of “fiddling” with permissions settings and trial and error. This is offset by aforementioned support service.

Comments: It has everything to be great but the things above bring it down for us

Pros:

It has everything we need to run our business

Cons:

Unable to view info on the laptop that has been added to the job Unable to put unavailability when existing shifts are there Have to refresh multiple times for it to work Add Job button isn’t on the side where the job schedule is so you have to scroll to the top all the time

Great for communication and scheduling needs, but feels oddly organized.

4.0 last week New

Comments: It's reliable and efficient. Nice design. Although It doesnt feel exactly user friendly. I cant explain it. I think it is "feed" vs "assets". I feel like those are not keywords that signal much of what I will find when I click on them. Maybe there could be a "homepage" instead, which is the feed, and then a few shortcuts at the top. It always takes me a second to find job scheduling. Maybe customizable widgets or shortcuts? That way when I get onto the app, I have me feed, and then I can add "chat" and "job scheduling" etc to the top. That feels more user friendly and organized in a way where I feel like I know where everything lives.

Pros:

Pricing is good compared to what is out there! It worked with our needs and budget. It is convenient to have scheduling and chat in one app. The admin features are well-designed and thought out. Lots of different features and conveniences when it comes to making schedules. I like being able to send out a blast that all employees must acknowledge in-app. Much better than an email they can just ignore. Love the announcements like anniversaries and birthdays. It feels like a happy community rather than a rigid messenger with no bells and whistles. We have so much information getting sent around and connecteam really helps us streamline and organize everything reliably!

Cons:

I wish I could preview unread messages when my face unlocks my phone (like I can with texts). Messages get lost quickly. Maybe this feature would help. I wish I could message someone without starting a group chat that I have to create and name. Feels unneeded and cumbersome when I just need to get a quick message to a couple people. Then when I want to reach out to the same exact people, I either need to find the old thread with a title that is now irrelevant, or start a new one. If I start a new one every time then it will take longer to look back and find the info I am looking for. Oh I dislike how it goes backwards page by page when I try to leave a message to check another one. Let's say I get a message from my boss, but then want to go over to our company wide chat. It will take me back to each screen I have visited before bringing me back to the "home page". I'd rather just jump around. I do not need to go through each step in reverse. It's like checking email after email and instead of being able to lick "inbox", you have to click through every email you just viewed first. Oh even better: it's like taking an elevator from the top floor to the bottom floor and some kid clicks every single button so you have to stop at each floor before you get to where you're going. I wish there were more emoji reactions, or that we could just react with whatever emojis are on our phones. Oh one more: we share devices among employees. When someone changes their name on there, it takes a while to refresh so I am not always sure who I am talking to that shift.

Comments: I love Connecteam. I have three clients who use it now and I love the data that comes from Connecteam. It would be great if I could switch companies without having to log out though. I really appreciate having a live person to talk with and I appreciate their knowledge of Connecteam.

Pros:

Intuitive, color coded, hover over clock in and out and the address pops up, scalable, can select individual things we need instead of paying for things I don't need.

Cons:

Learning curve for setting up is complicated. I appreciate all the videos and the videos help immensely, however they take time, which is something I don't have.

What didn't work for me, might work for you.

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: The app platform is user friendly, very easy to figure out even with no training. When I discovered there was no way to GPS track my very wide and spread out sales team, I switched to another service. Printing time sheets was a little glitchy but while annoying it was manageable.

Pros:

For field canvass management PROS - this app does work great ONLY IF you have immediate supervision over your field team. You can communicate via messaging and do the basic punching in and out right from this app. You can print time sheets.

Cons:

FIELD CANVASS MANAGEMENT CONS -You can NOT GPS track your team, so if you DON'T have supervisors actually out walking with your canvassers you will not know where they are and you'd have to just trust people punching in and out and actually canvassing and doing what they're supposed to be doing. - I didn't care for the time sheets feature on the desktop, you'd have to log out and refresh any time you select the period (dates) that you want to export, which was a huge pain for me. -If you have commission ONLY canvassers, this app would be OK, and its very cost effective, you get a lot out of the free version. Now, if you're like me and have hourly+commission team - you want eyes on them at all times. You can't pay someone hourly without knowing what they're doing - are they at the mall shopping? are they home? Are they working? The lack of real-time tracking was the main reason I stopped using it. Wasn't a good fit for us, but it may be a good fit for someone else.

Connecteam Response

Thanks for your feedback! We're a bit confused, though. There IS real-time GPS tracking, and you can see your users' routes when they're on the clock, so if you want to make sure people don't wander around, that's definitely available. As for switching between dates in the timesheets, they DO update automatically in real-time, you don't need to refresh manually, and you definitely don't need to log out. On top of that, we're adding the ability to clock users out automatically if they leave a certain Geofence, so with that capability, you can rest assured no one's getting paid if they're not in the workplace... If you want to consider giving us another go, I'm willing to walk you through it myself :) Please reach out to me at [email protected] if you're interested, and I'll be more than happy to show you how things work and make sure it meets your needs. Thanks again!

Simplifies work flow and simple to use.

Comments: Connecteam is a great platform for our company. We operate multiple venues and things like being able to see who is clocked in is vital for us. Connecteam is easy to use, and provides multiple uses for our company, simplifying our workflow. It makes my job easier, as there is less bouncing around to different software.

Pros:

Ease of use and versatility. Continued improvement. Ability to use on phone and computer. Being able to do so many different things including schedule, time clocks, training, completing forms and more in one place simplifies my work life.

Cons:

Would like to be able to link easily to a Gusto account that has multiple companies to be able to import timesheets easily

100% worth the investment

Comments: I feel like it has evolved over the padr year
I love the ongoing upgrades and the support that comes with it. I have attwnded somw of the webinars when new features come out. It has been a game changer and a vital part of my business

Pros:

Connect team has been a crucial part of our orginaization. It keeps the team unified in allowingnusnto connect with one another to share everything. Whether we are wishing someone a happy birthday or sharing a raving client review, the impact of Connect has bridged the gap between our staff. The organizational aspect for management has been improved greatly with assigned tasks and private groups. This is exactly what we needed and I contribute our success in the buiness to the communication we have achieved with this platform!

Cons:

I wish the additional cost to some of thr added features could be chared a la cart. The pricing runs in tiers, however I wish you could specifically pay for a particular feature. Ie delayed scheudled messages. I have my best ideas in the middle of the night and I would love to share with my staff . However, i dont feel the need to upgrade to the next tier as I dont need all the other bells and whistles.

Pros:

Easy for our crew to see their schedules in the app, easy for multiple admin users to change or add shifts.

Cons:

Good and not to pricey alternative to WhatsApp, may not have been my first choice again

3.0 5 months ago

Comments: It is a good alternative to WhatsApp, especially given the GDPR data protection laws around contacting employees within working and non-working hours. You can customize the look by adding you company logo, you can divide users into intuitive groups (e.g. by shop location) and assign managers etc. Some features need to be worked on, like glitching of the app on mobile device, especially the issue with chat not loading (but the main feed loading well).

Pros:

easy process of adding new users and groups of users, the 'feed' page for all, easy log in i the browser window, possibility to choose the days 'off' so the notifications don't pop up

Cons:

glitching of the app, especially on the mobile devices - 3 out of 10 times the chat wouldn't load on the phone even after force closing the app, but would load in the browser window with no problem; poor and non intuitive UI in terms of displaying the media sent over via chat, notifications not always pop up, sometimes they pop up even though the message was already seen and read

Connecteam Response

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback, we appreciate it very much. The issues you describe with your Chat sounds bad. It's not the user experience we strive for, and it's not something we can ignore. That said, we don't experience that on our end, things work smoothly. It means that the issues you're experiencing might be specific to your account, device, or happen due to other factors we need to be able to reproduce so we can dive into this issue. Otherwise, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack 🤷‍♂️ I want to take care of that personally, but as this review is anonymous, I need more information. Can you please contact me at [email protected]? I want to see those issues in real-time so our team can resolve this for you as quickly as possible. Thanks again for your feedback, looking forward to hearing from you! Best, Chen.

Connecteam Improved Our Staff Communication

4.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: The support team is super helpful and I get quick responses to questions/requests. I am able to manage everything on my own and very easy to maintain-which I like. The structure is easy to adapt to a variety of work environments, so you can plug and play right away without needing implementation timelines and such. Considering the overall cost, it is very economical compared to the cost of buying a system, the time to implement a software product, and then paying people to manage it.

Pros:

The interface is very user friendly and intuitive. I like that is easy to use in both the admin and mobile/user views. I enjoy the many features available for communication with staff, setting up shifts, and managing staff work and payroll.

Cons:

It can be frustrating when you want to use a feature and then find out it is behind a paywall and you need to upgrade to use it. I appreciate that I can manage the cost by deciding what features we use, number of users, etc, but sometimes it feels like features that should be included at a certain level requires another fee in order to access it.

Loving the connectivity this provides our staff!

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Honestly, the best part has been being able to get help from staff, even if the question seems silly. We've had a great time with the app, even if only 2/3 of the staff use it regularly. We love the user friendly concept as we have staff who are technology challenged who have been able to navigate the app.

Pros:

We love the ability to keep our staff connected to each other and to be able to share important company and community updates in a place where all can see it- as we have work from home and in person staff.

Cons:

We wish were able to make the plan a little more customizable to what we need. We have some features we don't use and some we would love to add but it isn't enough to justify the upgrade to the next level.

Satisfied Customer

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall our experience with Connecteam has been outstanding. There are lots of tutorials and customer service help at the touch of a button. I haven't had to use that very often because the program is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It helps us track our employees' time and vacations as well as gives everyone ample room for comments and notes so we stay informed of any daily work changes, issues and notifications. I am able to edit the status on forms so I can keep track of the ones I have already reviewed. Overall, Connecteam has been a time saver and keeps us organized.

Pros:

I like the wide variety of uses this program offers. It allows us to easily communicate with our employees, share scheduled services, edit payroll time sheets and helps tremendously with our billing by allowing our employees to fill out and submit their own forms like service reports and reimbursement expenses.

Cons:

If I had to improve something, it would be the ability to add "Jobs" in more places than just the Job scheduler. I sometimes need to add a new job to the time sheets because we are constantly doing business with new customers in the service industry and it would be easier to be able to stay in the time clock to just add a job. Also, it would be nice to combine two of the same jobs that were added by different administrators but spelled differently by accident (similar the the Quickbooks function that allows you to merge customers/jobs). Occasionally, if a job is added in the job scheduler, it is not automatically added to the time clock function so the employees can see it on the schedule but not clock in to that job. We have to go into the edit job window and manually check the time clock box. That seems a little too tedious.

Comments: Coming from a large inc. company, this was great for the transition into a small private company. It gives you the feel of your own company tools without needing the large support/design network.

Pros:

Easy to use platform and access for employees. The chat system and directory is great. Job scheduler and labor tracking awesome. Very simple and practical.

Cons:

There could be an easier place/way to upload and store files for the company and employees. Library was limited to what I could upload. I made a folder in knowledge base for a central location for all access files. I also would like to see more details able to be attached to jobs making a job portfolio for each scheduled job. It would also be nice to have a section attached to jobs to note issues, mistakes or correction needed and reminders for future jobs to avoid repeat mistakes.
