About Avaza

The ease of use once you get to know to program.
I wanted to use on a recent flight, but without purchasing wifi, I was unable to. I don't like giving airlines any more $ for wifi.

Great to have everything from task management to invoicing in one place
Comments: Avaza deserves a shout out for their customer service. You can reach them via chat, and you usually get a reply within a few minutes. They have the best service of any vendor I've ever worked with.
Pros:
The task management system is robust and easy to learn, so onboarding new people is simple. And for us, a big benefit was going straight from project to invoice. No more importing or exporting information and doubling up on data entry tasks.
Cons:
Scheduling recurring tasks is currently a little clumsy. You cannot set a task for "First Monday" of the month, for example. However, I'm told they have improved scheduling for recurring tasks in the works by their customer service.
An Incredibly Helpful Productivity Tool
Comments: Avaza is an incredibly helpful productivity tool. It has allowed to me do my freelance marketing and production work efficiently, to share projects as part of a team, to breakdown billing for invoicing, and to have a variety of information requested by my clients at my fingertips at a moment's notice.
Pros:
The reports have been incredibly helpful to me in assessing time spent on different tasks and projects, as well as breakdowns of billable hours.
Cons:
I wish the timer was based on actual clock start and stop times, rather than a stopwatch system. I often leave the timer running because I've forgotten to turn it off, and calculating back to my actual stop time is tedious.
Alternatives Considered: Harvest
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: I was using it in conjunction with Toggl at the time, because, at the time, Asana did not have time tracking functionality.
Switched From: Asana
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Avaza had enough of everything in one place for the right price.

Thank you for your review! We're glad Avaza’s reports are helping with time tracking and billing. We appreciate your feedback on the timer feature. Although we currently use a stopwatch system, we understand the need for a clock-based timer. Please contact our support team with more details—we're here to help!
Great system with a major flaw = problem for the client. Slow to solutions.
Comments: Love the thought behind the program and most of it's features, but I have been very disappointed in their reaction time to fix major issues in their data configurations. Reports kicking out inaccurate accounting numbers doesn't make for a good accounting and project tracking program.
Pros:
Project management integration with payment reports and invoicing.
Cons:
Their software is somewhat unreliable when it comes to grabbing the correct data set and kicking out correct numbers in reports.
Alternatives Considered: monday.com
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: Avaza started offering a broader scope of services that made Monday.com obsolete at the time, although now I may be going back because I liked Monday better for some stuff and they now are offering more accountant items.
Switched From: monday.com
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: more features offered. i don't want to have to write 40 characters if I don't need to.
Excellent Business Tool for Time Sheets, Invoicing and Project Management!
Comments: It has been excellent, for years. I am always impressed with their quick responses when I have a question about how to use something. Their customer service is also very polite which I really appreciate these days!
Pros:
I've been using Avaza for years to organize my small business. Their product us great, from organizing my project schedules, to invoicing and time sheets. When I've come across something that I can't figure out their customer service is personable and quick to fix. There have even been times they take requests for new or updated options! Top quality.
Cons:
I haven't had any issues with Avaza. I'm still working on using the scheduling component but I think that is more me than them! I would like the option to be able to customize invoices a bit more (font size, etc.) but not a dealbreaker.
Alternatives Considered: Quicken, Basecamp and Asana
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Avaza offered the services I needed for my business, including excellent time sheet options, mobile time sheets, easy invoicing, and reporting, among others. The other products were more project management and did not offer invoicing. Avaza let me do it all with one product.

Avaza Just Right for Our Small But Mighty PR Firm
Comments: Avaza was easy to implement into our public relations firm and provides the functionality we need including project management, time and expense tracking, invoicing, reporting and analysis — with many automation features that save time and increase productivity.
Pros:
Ease of use: well-designed interface; responsive customer service
Cons:
No major complaints; However adding the capability to model an engagement as a fixed monthly fee up to a set number of hours, with hours exceeding that fixed fee in a given month being counted as hourly, would be of value.
Alternatives Considered: Scoro, monday.com and Asana
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: It was a legacy system that was antiquated and incompatible with our business needs
Switched From: ConnectWise ScreenConnect
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Suitability for our business; ease of setup; ease of use; interface; price

Avaza: A Comprehensive Solution for Seamless Small Business Management
Comments: I find Avaza to be an exceptional tool for the end-to-end management of my small business. It seamlessly handles everything from initial quotes to task management and final invoicing, making it easy to stay organized and on track. The platform's integration capabilities with other apps are a major plus, allowing me to customize workflows and streamline operations. The user-friendly interface and comprehensive features make Avaza an invaluable resource for efficiently managing all aspects of my business in one place. I highly recommend this platform as an easy-to-use, feature-rich platform.
Pros:
I find Avaza to be very easy to use and navigate, and it has all the core components I require for invoice and task management for my small business. I compared Avaza to other management systems including Asana, Monday and Scoro, and found it to be a great balance between affordability and functionality.
Cons:
I would love to see the invoicing section upgraded. I would like to be able to re-organize items that are listed in the invoice as I build it, so that I can arrange items by groups or logical order.
Alternatives Considered: Scoro
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: I needed an end-to-end solution, and Asana is not structured in a way that was useful for me. It also did not integrate time tracking or invoicing.
Switched From: Asana
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Scoro is more expensive than Avaza, and has more features than I need. Avaza is also easier to use than Scoro.

Avaza is the best tool for managing your team and tasks
Comments: Fantastic, could not recommend it highly enough, very cost effective too as your team grows.
Pros:
I absolutely love Avaza as it helps me run my team from one place. We use it for project management, managing annual leave, task management, team comms and time tracking. I also love the automated reporting, which saves me so much time. The team at Avaza are great too and are very responsive and always open to suggestions to improve the system.
Cons:
It could be better at helping manage monthly retainers, but I know that is on their development list.
Alternatives Considered: monday.com and ClickUp
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: Team work was too expensive and did not provide all the functionality I needed
Switched From: Teamwork.com
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Cost, the interface was how I like it, it felt like a smaller company

Great all around tool to keep track of agency estimated and projects.
Comments: We're mostly happy with avaza. It's great to kep track of all steps of a project. It would be great if there could be a budget alert function per section of a project and if we would dare to dream estimates were you can add a float in amount of hours would be amazing.
Pros:
Finally we have one tool to make estimates, convert them to projects, track time spent and report on profitability! No more going back and forth between different tools and losing overview.
Cons:
The search could be better. We have a lot of comments on tasks and it's not always easy finding a specific thing back.
Alternatives Considered: Teamleader and monday.com
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: Because we wanted one tool to do everything.

Reasons for Switching to Avaza: The demo was easier and it had more of th efeatures we needed for a competitive price.

Great Project Management Tool To Get The Job Done
Comments: Really good - the support on offer is first class, always fast and thorough. The reporting side is also really valuable and we plan to use that more as our needs grow.
Pros:
We've been using this for 6+ years now and love it. I'd tried a lot of other systems but this is easy to use across the team, easy to customise and whilst it's really good in terms of projects and task lists, it's invaluable in terms of managing resource and visually seeing what people are working on to help prioritise and get things done.
Cons:
Sub-tasks are a frustration - you can have them within tasks but it's very basic, you can't assign them or give them due dates. It's on the roadmap we hear so will be a welcome addition when it's in place.

Avaza can replace many other programs to increase efficiency and productivity.
Comments: I've been using Avaza for about 6 years. I switched from using Asana and Timeslips. This one program easily took the place of the other two. Pricing is very reasonable. It's great for tracking both one time projects and retainer projects. It's also super simple to keep on to of invoices. The recurring invoice feature is a game changer.
Pros:
It's so simple to use. It's quick and efficient for tracking tasks and doing billing. It saves so much time over the bloated and cumbersome alternatives. It only takes a few clicks to get directly to the information you need.
Cons:
I would like to see it integrate with more payment processors.

Great project and resource management tool
Comments: I've looked into so many project + resource management tools – from Trello to Airtable to Monday.com – and Avaza is the only one that allows me to create projects, estimate hours, manage capacity, and track time in the same platform, without spending a lot of time configuring it. I was able to set up Avaza using a project spreadsheet I had already created and the whole configuration process was pretty quick.
Pros:
I love that it combines resources management and project management into one tool. Perfect for small design studios and agencies that need to know if their employees have the bandwidth to take on a new project (it also takes into account holiday/vacation time!). I use Avaza to create project estimates for clients, knowing that I can easily import from a spreadsheet and adjust timeline/dependencies once the project is confirmed. All on the free plan, too!
Cons:
The UI could be a bit better-designed. There are some things, like the top toolbar design and the navigation menu for projects, that aren't really the best user experience. But then again, I'm a designer. My only complaint is that it's hard to bulk-edit tasks and it's not possible to do so with CSV import; you can't even select multiple tasks to delete, which can be an administrative time suck if you have a lot of tasks to edit/delete from a project.
Alternatives Considered: Airtable, Trello, monday.com and Toggl Track
Switched From: Airtable
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: I needed time tracking, resource management, and project planning in the same tool – without spending hours setting up formulas to connect each of these things to each other.
A complete solution for project management
Comments: Avaza's user interface is clean and straightforward, making it simple for anyone to learn and use. It facilitates smooth, real-time collaboration between groups, which improves project management, file sharing, and communication.
Pros:
Features like job delegation, time monitoring, and file sharing are all conveniently located in a single interface, streamlining collaboration and project management for my team. The platform's many available integrations—with tools like Gantt charts and billing—make it an all-inclusive answer for managing our projects.
Cons:
One thing that bothered me about Avaza was how complicated and daunting its interface initially was. It will take some time to become familiar with all of the available options and features. And I didn't think the task assignment component was as powerful as some other project management software I've used.
Incredibly intuitive and efficient
Comments: We needed a tool that our operations people and other team members could use to enter their time, create estimates, projects, and invoices, and communicate easily between workers and approvers. This program was built by people who understand what is needed to support a proper project management workflow. Absolutely no complaints.
Pros:
We can move smoothly from estimate to projects/tasks to invoicing in a click. Everything is obvious, smooth, uncluttered. Nothing is hidden behind nested menus or un-obvious navigational labels. Best project management software I've tested, and I've tested dozens.
Cons:
Nothing. And if we ever have a question or issue, customer support is fantastic.
Streamlining studio processes
Comments: Before we discovered Avaza, we were seriously looking into designing and developing our own software because we just couldn't find one programme that did everything we needed. It's early days, but I'm very optimistic that Avaza is going to save us from having to take on that huge project!
Pros:
As a young company, we are learning every day. We want the software we use to have a wealth of features, so that our team members only need to have one window open. Previously, we were having to use slack for one thing, 10,000ft for another, and excel to track timesheets. It just wasn't streamlined. We're only very new to Avaza, but so far it looks as though it might be the answer to all our previous issues.
Cons:
This isn't a con of the software, as such, but we're used to how we used to do things and now we're having to learn something new, around our actual jobs! So, the change is currently causing extra work, but that will settle down. As a design studio, we are mostly visual people, so I do find the schedule views quite hard to follow. The team view is actually easier for me, but as a user I don't have access to that. Also, we collaborate daily, so being able to see what everyone is working on would just be an added benefit.
Best project management system out there 5*
Comments: Really good on the whole. Love the fact that I can estimate, proj manage and invoice from the same system.
Pros:
It's a complete solution and shares most of the best features of it's competitors. The fact that you can not only project manage but also use it for account keeping is a game changer. Very reasonable pricing too. Best product on the market be a LOOOOOONG way!
Cons:
I use the estimates to generate my projects. If you have to make changes to the estimate (eg. client asks for something additional within a project) you cannot update the project you created and have to make a whole new project and then manually update any time you have captured against tasks. Bit painful that.
Alternatives Considered: monday.com and Wrike
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: Streamtime pricing and limitations
Switched From: Streamtime
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: Better solution. Accoutn keeping features Better pricing Better trial terms
Feature rich project management and client billing solution
Pros:
Many features for project management including custom tasks and timesheet categories to standardize information across users. The ability to section off portions of projects and bill for those sections specifically. Easy to use gantt charting. In application communication tools. In-depth custom reporting.
Cons:
At first the organization of information is a little confusing and people see it as cumbersome, but after some time its pretty easy. The reports are nice but they have so many options it takes some time to figure out what options will give you what you need. Single project quick view dashboard (time or $$ left in budget, items past due summary) not available, but can get there with custom reports once you figure out how to do it.
Alternatives Considered: Forecast and Harvest
Reasons for Switching to Avaza: The structure of our projects can be modeled more appropriately in Avaza than could be done in Harvest. The gantt chart feature in Avaza was a big seller as well as the ability to attach files other than in the expenses section. Cost.
Excellent platform for solid project management, time tracking and billing.
Comments: I can track ventures and extend errands in Avaza and favor temporary worker timecards, it makes a difference spare time, but including other highlights like mechanized workflows would make it more effective. As businesses develop, asset administration and monetary determining ended up basic to the in general wellbeing of the commerce. Avaza gives a single stage where budgeting, assets, and assignment assignments can be wiped out one put. Avaza makes a difference keep my clients educated around their errands and generally venture status, keep my extend errands organized by client, I am able to see my profitability per client with reports, we are able charge clients for time and benefit.
Pros:
I just like the clean and simple to utilize plan, time following and detailing highlights, moreover accommodating that it coordinating with Slack, simple time following by assignment, capacity to welcome outside contacts to collaborate on ventures, strong announcing once you learn how to do it. Avaza could be a astounding extend administration device, as our commerce develops Avaza gives a total framework to oversee ventures, figure assets, relegate errands successfully and move forward efficiency. In expansion, Avaza gives real-time client back through a flag-bearer and the reaction time is amazing.
Cons:
It would be accommodating in the event that Avaza had mechanization highlights to form automatic workflows, asset planning may well be more productive and displayed more precisely, it would be decent to have the choice to alter extend categories to dynamic or inert, as well as labels . I had a few inconvenience designing a few of the reports to induce the information I required, especially on the receipt and installment side. Some of things may be included, such as a information passage for Buy Orders gotten and a area where Buy Orders from subcontractors might be produced.
Great project management tool
Comments: An intuitive project management tool that includes all of the important components of project management in a single interface. My experience so far has been very positive.
Pros:
Avaza makes it easy to collaborate on projects and tasks with clients and teammates. Especially, I appreciate the fact that notifications and messages are sent directly to my email. I like how easy it is to use. Our clients learn it quickly and enjoy working with it, so we can complete projects faster. The free plan is great as you can test out the service before buying and the pricing is also very reasonable.
Cons:
It is possible to issue invoices in one currency per client. I would like to send invoices to the same client in different currencies.

Avaza works great for law firms
Comments: We have moved to Avaza from the model were we used much more expensive PM software and our own billing software. Super happy about having everyting in one place
Pros:
We were struggling to find a PM software that would have decent billing capabilites. In Avaza billing functionality is on par with dedicated billing services, furthermore it is fully adoptable to any language (i.e. we issue avaza invoices in lithuanian language)
Cons:
Time input could be easier, on the other hand, as vast majority of our projects are billed by fixed fee arrangements, the reason maybe be that we just didn't use it that much.
A simple and powerful client and project manager.
Comments: I just love the simple easy to setup approach. I can set up and start using the software within days, and there are no learning curves. I just used their project management and time tracking which is great. I can recommend my customer/user to use this service so they can simplify their task. I am still trying this and getting some awesome result.
Pros:
Simple and clean setup is what I can set up easily. I like the simple wizard just in front of me and all the process updates are in front of me. The UI is clear simple and just workes as they should be. I love the minimalistic and to the point menu of it. Menu structure is also just in front of me, no more finding or take a note for just a menu. And yes it really does what it tells even in the free plan it is so much initiative then others I have tried. Project management and Time tracking are what I use most of the time and just workes. I am happy that I gave this a try.
Cons:
Reports can be improved. I am not very comfortable with the report features. I just get confused and get lost with so much reporting options. Also, I think the report should be under every particular subject.

Best time tracking and invoice software for small consulting firm
Comments: Avaza has made time tracking of team members and creating invoices much more efficient for us - before we were using Excel and manually making our invoices. We have been using Avaza for about 4 months now, and it has made tracking time so much easier. We now use the reporting function to make sure we are not going over the project's budget and hours.
Pros:
I searched through so many different software platforms to use for tracking time and doing invoices - this one could achieve everything our small consulting firm needed - everything can be customized - hourly rate versus project rate, you can change the info in the invoices pretty easily. Not only was Avaza the best price compared to all the other options, but it also had the best features for our company . You can also separate tracking time by client and by project - a feature needed as a consulting firm, but a feature
Cons:
I wish the reports could be a little bit more editable - adding in additional foot notes, because we invoice all of our clients in the system, but when consultants want to invoice our company to get paid, they have to create an invoice outside of the system.
Avaza - Manage Better
Pros:
We loved the time tracking - it's been really helpful for us to track project profitability and individual time tracking. Our team has also really benefitted from the chat features and overall project management capabilities. One key feature was the ability to add clients to specific projects without having to give them access to other projects.
Cons:
It's not specific to Avaza, but in general, it's clunky to have so many different tools to chat through - sometimes it's easier to use a different chat or video to give feedback outside of Avaza, but it's nice to
Streamlining Team Collaboration and Project Management with Avaza
Comments: Avaza offers a comprehensive solution for team collaboration and project management. It has many useful features such as task management, time tracking, and resource scheduling. It also allows for easy communication and file sharing among team members. However, the interface can be a bit confusing at first and some users may find the task assignment feature to be limited. Overall, Avaza is a good option for teams looking for a streamlined way to manage their projects and collaborate effectively.
Pros:
and intuitive interface of Avaza. It makes it simple for my team to collaborate and manage projects, with features such as task assignments, time tracking, and document sharing all in one place. The platform also offers a variety of integrations, such as with Gantt charts and invoicing, which makes it a comprehensive solution for managing all aspects of our projects. Overall, Avaza has been a valuable tool for streamlining our workflow and improving our team's efficiency.
Cons:
I did not like the fact that Avaza's interface can be a bit confusing and overwhelming at first. It takes some time to get used to navigating through all the different features and settings. Additionally, I found the task assignment feature to be a bit limited and not as robust as other project management tools. Overall, while Avaza has many useful features, it may not be the best fit for teams with more advanced project management needs.
EASE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Pros:
easily manage multiple projects and their tasks, very happy with the interactive UI and the team got hold of it pretty quickly. Also, the task notifications are received by the team member instantly on email. The pricing is good compared to its features and definitely stands out from its competition.
Cons:
no way to use offline on pc as its an online web based application
Alternatives Considered: ClickUp
Reasons for Choosing Avaza: pricing is on the higher side
