NetSuite is a Great Option

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Our account rep, account manager, and implementation lead are all really pleasant to work with and communicate well. The product is working well so far, and we're looking forward to our Phase 2.

Pros:

So customizable that you can configure it to do just about anything. A unique product that can really be for anyone. Once live, it's fairly intuitive.

Cons:

While the customization is amazing, you can get lost if you don't pay attention to the details or aren't working with someone who knows the technical nuances well when you set it up. Our implementor ([sensitive content hidden] ) helped us with this.

Functional ERP difficult to go beyond basics

2.0 last month New

Comments: It works as a basic ERP, but frustrating to use if you don't have months to dedicate to learning NetSuite as a full-time job. They nickel and diming for functionality is also annoying

Pros:

Functional ERP system with a great deal of flexibility if you can figure out how to implement what you want.

Cons:

Terrible documentation. Very difficult to figure out how to do automate anything. Don't think I could figure out how to authenticate to their API to save my life. Their advanced customer support is useless. Everything is an upsell including some things that you would expect to be basic functionality that all businesses need, e.g. Fixed Assets and Revenue Recognition. If you don't need any advanced capabilities, you should stick with a lower end solution.

Overly complicated and not the product for us.

1.0 3 months ago

Comments: This was a terrible experience from the get-go. Our CTO adopted NetSuite and it was clearly not the right choice from our business. It started with the lack of training. I think we had 2 training sessions over 6 months for the merchandising team. It slowed down the definition process of our catalog so that what used to take 10 minutes in the previous ERP took 3 hours. With many fields mapped to obscure auto index #s for definitions you had to build a decoder ring to keep them all straight. Basically everything we learned to do in Netsuite came from Google or YouTube. All of the menus were different depending on which role you had so cross-training between departments was impossible because people had to get to the same task via different paths. The filtering on reports was flawed and the Import/export menus kept so much history you had to scroll just to find the latest import/export only to be told it was still processing. The only rapid response you got from the team was when it was time to pony up another 250K for renewal. We probably had 5-6 different account people in charge of our account over the course of the 18 months we had the program. Just a terrible experience for us. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Pros:

Lots of options to create reports and define items.

Cons:

Very Difficult to integrate and overly complicated. It slowed down our overall processes and a lot of the logic did not make sense when defining items. It isn't good when they tell you to use a different program to help with the definition process. It is very expensive as well especially when the training is so poor that all you wind up using it for is glorified accounting.

Cons:

I have not run into many issues regarding Netsuite that haven't been resolved.

NetSuite - Pros & Cons

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: I don't have any major issue, but if there are some updates, it must help my daily workflow. - Also, I hope if I/S details show more details as a default setting. (Journal entry memo, Journal entry descriptions, Subsidiary/Entity Name, Etc.), it must be better even though we can customize, I cannot save all account reports.

Pros:

You can customize reports and save the reports for future uses.

Cons:

Hard to find my journal entries and there is no way to go direct to general ledger accounts (Need to open P&L, BS or CoA) I hope there is search function to accounts directly and my journal entry list.

Great product, efficient and easy.

5.0 last month New

Comments: I've been using it for some years now, and it is one of the best on the market.

Pros:

The Graphic is good, there are tons of personalizable reports and they are quite easy to use.

Cons:

It is not always the simplest software to navigate, but having the option to automate some processes would make my work smoother and more efficient.

Versatile, customizable, and does pretty much everything

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: NetSuite is a great ERP solution for mid-size/enterprise level businesses. It's scalable and extremely customizable, something many ERPs lack. It's fully cloud-based, and has modules for pretty much everything that isn't included in the base application, including multiple e-commerce suites, demand planning, online forms, WMS, HR, the list goes on.

Pros:

Versatile, customizable, versions for a variety of verticals, does pretty much everything

Cons:

UI looks dated and could be more user friendly - it requires training to use in even a basic way, CRM functionalities could use an upgrade

very powerful tool but performance can be an issue with ever growing data inside.

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Good tool, also the different kinds of access you can grant to users so they can't reach something they are not allowed to is great.

Pros:

The high level of customization possibilities to fit our need. We handle all our stock movement, order processing, billing through Netsuite.

Cons:

Having a lot of customers, historical data, products in our instance we run into performance problems for certain tasks. some reports take quite a long time to process as they go through the entire history in our Netsuite DB.

Save time and know more about your business with Netsuite

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: I am a very big fan of NetSuite and I am excited about learning how much more NetSuite can do for our business that we haven't touched on yet. It has given us more visibility into our financials and shortened our closing time each period.

Pros:

We like the ability to easily run financials on a project level basis and the automated features that shorten our close cycle.

Cons:

The customization that needed to happen to fit NetSuite into our current work processes and the transferring of data from our QB system to NetSuite was not smooth due to going live mid-year.

Cons:

Netsuite Review from IGPES ERP Admin

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with NetSuite so far has been quite interesting as I feel the need to know more about the application. There are functions on the platform that make a lot of the operational workload easier especially when it comes to reports. The application is dynamic and overall great to use for business operations.

Pros:

1. NetSuite offers a wide range of modules covering financial management, CRM, e-commerce, inventory, and supply chain management. 2. Suitable for businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large enterprises. 3. It is cloud-based. 4. It is customizable and Flexible 5. Provides real-time visibility into business performance with robust reporting and analytics tools. 6. Supports multi-currency, multi-language, and multi-subsidiary operations, making it ideal for global businesses. 7. Regular updates and new features are automatically deployed, ensuring the system stays current with the latest technology and best practices.

Cons:

1. It can be expensive, especially for small businesses or startups, due to subscription fees, customization costs, and user licenses. 2. Requires a learning curve and may necessitate ongoing training and support. 3. Implementation can be time-consuming and complex, requiring careful planning and resources. 4. Occasional slowdowns or downtime may impact business operations

Review on NS from an admin perspective

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: Overall experience from 4 + years using NS compared to other experience of ERP systems is positive

Pros:

Customable reporting, easy configurable custom fields and modifying forms for different records

Cons:

From an admin perspective, customizing WF is not user friendly and is limited. Which forces us in some cases to use suite scripts to overcome issues. Creating suite scripts requires development knowledge, i.e. Java script and knowledge of Suite Script configuration. Since this is not accessible to all organization inhouse, this requires using a certified 3rd part vendor which is both time consuming and costly.

Net-suite Review

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Overall, our experience with NetSuite has been highly positive. The platform has significantly improved our inventory and order management processes, providing us with real-time visibility into our operations and helping us streamline our workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy. While there was a learning curve during the implementation process, the benefits we have gained from using NetSuite have far outweighed any initial challenges. We are extremely satisfied with the platform and its impact on our business.

Pros:

What I liked most about NetSuite was its comprehensive suite of inventory and order management features, which provided real-time visibility into our inventory levels, streamlined our order processing, and helped us optimize our warehouse operations for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Cons:

What I liked least about NetSuite was its initial complexity and the learning curve associated with setting up and customizing the system to meet our specific business needs. Additionally, the cost of implementation and ongoing maintenance could be prohibitive for some businesses.

NetSuite as ERM (Enterprise Resource Management)

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Great ERM tool to manage resources effective and use same language when talking to different teams internally. We are glad to use this tool because for example it was not possible to track expenses and related them to a particular customer with NetSuite.

Pros:

Finally a product that rivals Salesforce. Competitive pricing and easier to rollout. Many features help us track different stages of a project when in development and going through production.

Cons:

Training time - it takes a while to coach employees as this is new tool with limited install base and knowledge.

NetSuite - Listen To Your Customers

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: If it were my decision I would move to a more flexible system like Intacct of Blackline. NetSuite has been really challenging at best.

Pros:

The ability to do everything in one platform.

Cons:

Integration is tedious and expensive. It can be very clunky in that its not intuitive and user friendly. It appears the product was created by programmers with not the input of the needs of accountants. Some of the basic statement you would expect to see in any accounting system is not available. You need a full time consultant to be successful which is frustrating.

Very comprehensive accounting functionality and a pretty rounded ERP.

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: In general I love Netsuite and how flexible it is for addressing the needs of the vast majority of customers.

Pros:

How easy it is to customize without need for expensive resources and the vast majority of the accounting functionality works out of the box.

Cons:

Whilst it’s good to see new functionality delivered with every release, more effort should be made to address existing enhancement requests, some of which have been open for more than a decade.

NetSuite seems to want my business to fail rather than succeed

2.0 8 months ago

Comments: The decision to move to NetSuite was difficult. It was extremely expensive for our small company (4 of us at the time), but the features were robust and we felt like it could grow with us. We were talked into additional features at added costs (Premium Support and ACS) that we have regretted purchasing (they were unable to delivery anywhere close the value promised, mostly because of bureaucratic processes that only served to waste our time). NetSuite does not care at all that we are unhappy customers. I like to think of our service providers as being part of my team -- they will help me succeed and in turn that will help them succeed. NetSuite does not care at all about whether we are successful, and instead seems only to want to squeeze every last penny out of us. At this point we have spent so much time and money on NetSuite that we are reluctant to move our business. We keep hoping that our investment will one day pay off, but are usually left cursing NetSuite rather than praising it.

Pros:

NetSuite has a lot of capabilities. I am confident that if we invested enough in the system, it could handle all of our needs.

Cons:

NetSuite is clunky and not user friendly. It is not designed for small business, where each employee wears multiple hats. We are 7 people, and most employees have to switch between roles daily to accomplish their goals. When we reach out to NetSuite for help or suggestions, they do not treat the relationship as a service provider who wants us to grow and be successful. Instead, they try to squeeze every dollar out of us. They consistently under-deliver on time-sensitive outcomes, and try to sell us upgrades we don't need and can't afford. Our account manager is delightful, but has no authority to help us in any capacity. Every B2B transaction is extremely difficult (including us paying NetSuite). When we try to lean in on NetSuite services, we find they are unable to deliver what was promised, and are unwilling to negotiate or apologize for their own shortcomings and mistakes.

From the 1990s Terrible and Convoluted

3.0 9 months ago

Comments: Horrible and lost a small fortune for something that never gave us accurate costing or reporting. Moved the company off of netsuite to QBO Advanced combined with A2X and Flowtrac manufacturing and now have an automated tech stack more easily ran by a small accounting department in a fast paced industry.

Pros:

It does order costing and advertises itself as a complete ERP system. I've heard it can work well for very large companies with large accounting teams and lots of money to put towards consultants to get it running properly.

Cons:

Ease of use- it's like dial up internet from 1990, extremely slow, patchy and missing information. Even data imports take hours on end. You can tell this is just a cash cow product for Oracle that hasn't been updated. Every little thing you need to do takes 5 clicks and the implementation and daily use for a smaller startup is just a nightmare to be honest.
