One of the statistical analysis software that I used every week

Comments: Overall my experience with Minitab is very positive. It helps me to perform my job more efficiently as data driven conclusion or reports are very well accepted by many people especially management.

Pros:

I like Minitab for its easy navigation and the layout or its dashboard information. Analysis reports are being summarized very neat and helping users to understand what the data is telling easily.

Cons:

Online licensing is the least that I like about this software. Currently I am using online license which means I have to be online to use Minitab which is very inconvenient for me.

Minitab for Process/Product Improvement

Comments: Minitab is a statistical software useful for presentation and evaluation of acquired data. Good intro statistical software

Pros:

Does not require prior programming knowledge. Easy to teach to first time statistical analyst

Lacks some of the newer methodologies and solutions, and lacks flexibility

Great software for data visualization in scientific research work

Comments: Great tool for statistical analysis, prediction, plotting of data and easy to learn to use. Lots of tutorials are available to use this software effectively.

Pros:

For my research work, I have to analyze the data and visualize the results to showcase my research outcome. I always prefer to use software like Minitab for easily showing the output of experiment. It has enriched library and you can plot anything from your available data.

Cons:

Minitab is a lightweight software but sometimes you may face difficulty to handle large size data to plot. It got fridge sometimes to work with huge database of millions of information.

Suitable software for engineers

Comments: I have enjoy using this software for planing several optimal design and also regression modeling. I appreciate providing the predicted R-Square as an useful option in the output of regression analysis.

Pros:

There are many statistical software in the market but Minitab is specially designed for engineers. It has a very advanced capability in design and analysis of experiment.

Cons:

The design of this software user interface is so classic. So, maybe using another framework for making the user interface more attractive is needed.

Fantastic functionality with a steep learning curve

Comments: Overall positive. Despite needing time to learn it, it was still faster than alternatives to get the data gathered and into a presentable format.

Pros:

The amount you can do with the program cannot be understated, it makes data crunching so much easier. If you need to analyze and present data, I haven't found a better program.

Cons:

Despite the upside, a lot of the functionality needs to be taught to you by a peer or by a tutorial. The interworkings were not that clear to me at first.

Best program for charts and analysis

Pros:

Easy to apply formulas and analysis, very user friendly. Charts very easy to read.

Cons:

Haven't found anything bad yet. This program is awesome.

Pros:

Minitab makes organizing data for various statistical operations extremely easy. Minitab brings together all the tools that we need to perform multiple statistical operations such as capacity analysis, regression analysis, and other complex operations in an organized manner, and Minitab makes preparing tables and graphs of the results very simple. It's great that Minitab, with its effective tools, enables us to automate statistical analysis processes, so that we don't find any complications in dealing with big data, and enables us to quickly extract accurate results.

Cons:

Nothing to worry about, as Minitab has an intuitive interface that is easy to use, which is not available in competing programs. It is necessary to know the statistics before starting to use, also you should spend an appropriate amount of time to learn how the tools work properly.

Minitab for optimization and regression

Comments: I love this product when it come to optimization of data.

Pros:

It takes less space and doesn't slow down the pc.

Cons:

The data that are needed needs to be imported sometimes it takes data not in a proper way, so it requires correction.

Best Data Analysis tool without coding

Pros:

Pros:

It is very simple software used to analyze complex operations. It is user friendly and takes less time to understand fully. It is mostly used in the educational Institutes for the project works for generating time series trends.

Cons:

All the features available in Excel is not exploited. There is chance of improving the software towards 3D plots.

I use this analysis software with my AP Statistics students and have used it for many years.

Comments: The program allows my students to work with very large data sets and allows me to assess their analyses very easily.

Pros:

I liked the package because it was a professional use package (not just deigned for classroom use) and it was still easy enough for my students to use. There is a small learning curve to overcome, but my students adapt to the package very quickly. The iterations I have used started with version 12 and I am now using version 17. They product has become more streamlined over the years and more user friendly as well. The support I have received from Minitab has been excellent and utilizing the license server for my lab allows me to deploy the package to more computers. That is a real plus when one machine goes down and I need to use all my licenses.

Cons:

Some of the graphical outputs are still not as good as MS Excel, but they have been improving over the years. I wish it could do a back-to-back stem plot, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Minitab helps me analyzing the manufacturing process.

Comments: I use Minitab to analyze problem solving data, to review the scrap evolution through time. It is a great software to put data and have a nice analysis.

It's simple to use and fits to my company's needs. I can present and report my results directly from minitab instead of using a power point

Cons:

Minitab has far more functions than are necessary for most Six Sigma applications. It is, however, very easy to use for a number of basic graphs and statistical tools utilized in Six Sigma.

Minitab's Power

Comments: Amazed by the capabilities of the software and the amount of valuable information you can obtain from it, definitely worth it, but expensive in comparison to other software out in the market.

Pros:

It is breathtaking the ease at which the program provides valuable information for the user. When provided with quality data. The user can easily obtain simple statistics analyisis, correlation between variables, predictions for later outcomes, very clear graphs, many types of regressions etc. Information about the reliability (statistical residual analysis) of the results depending on the input data. You can develop a DOE (design of experiments) to find the most impactful variable(s) and manipulate it/them to obtain desired results in whichever process.

Cons:

The organization for various sheets could be improved but in general it is a very friendly software easy to understand a few hours into its use.

I do statistical analysis for many of my projects, Minitab is essential for this analysis.

Comments: Not only can I run any statistical analysis that I may need, I can also learn about ones I did not previously know. And with an easy Microsoft Excel import function you can run regressions on any data sent your way.

Pros:

Any kind of statistical analysis you need done you can find with Minitab. While in many other programs it takes careful wording of equations and an innate knowledge of statistics Minitab lays it out in a very clear manner. Whether you want to run an ANOVA, a Chi-squared test, make a histogram, or run a multiple regression model Minitab offers all of this and more. Furthermore, I have spent a good amount of time going through Minitab's tutorials and those are worth their weight in gold. If you ever worry that you forgot everything from your college statistics course: don't. This program will teach you everything you need to know.

Cons:

It could be better at offering ways to print your projects, it can look jumbled if you do not set it up carefully.

Best way to represent data

Comments: Exceptional in giving accurate results

Pros:

Results can be interpreted quickly since the software gives results in no time

For some reason it is not supported in some of my devices

The Best statistical tool ever

Comments: I used Minitab for the analytical part of the research project. It has been very simple to use and has a range of tools and you can analyze your data, graph, and map with the Minitab easily.

Pros:

For my last year, and also for my four years as a teacher, I used Minitab 19 for statistical analysis. Minitab 19 is one of the most strong DOE, Regression, Hypothesis, Graphical, Process Capacities, and System Analysis measurement applications. I saw no easy, productive program except Minitab. It must be accurate and optimistic for any type of data professionals and Minitab 19 is the resource that simplifies your work. You just need to provide the data in sheet form and pick the analytical type, provide control limits and limits, and in a couple of milliseconds, you can get more than you want.

Cons:

Some concepts to perform regression and other analysis of the options make me confuse.

Comfortable if you have knowledge in the field.

Whatever the data, we can easily manage it and get the statical analyze through this minitab software.

Cons:

If the project is closed, some time its confusing which is saved, Weather the project or worksheet on the default name. Its occurs only the system power goes unexpectedly.

A Powerful Tool

Comments: Overall, anyone who is employed performing statistical analysis on data sets should be familiar with Minitab. This is tool that holds the basis for all commonly applied statistical analysis techniques.

Pros:

Minitab 19 is a major leap from previous versions. This tool has significantly improved the usability of more complex statistical analysis functions by improving the in-process teaching of correct application as well as background selection based off of data types. From simple to complex, Minitab is a powerful tool to gain accurate and rapid stochastic interpretation of your data.

Cons:

Minitab is still stuck on this tabular Excel-type format. They need a UI overhaul of the data input screen vs the data analysis screen and should treat the two separately. The analysis tool is undersold in the current format.
