choose better software
About SendGrid
Twilio SendGrid is the leading cloud-based email delivery platform, trusted by the world's fastest-growing brands.
The software is powerful and while advances it’s quite easy to get a hang of.
The customer support was the worst I have ever experienced.

Sendgrid is a great tool for program driven emails.
Pros:
I admire SendGrid for its seamless setup process, allowing even novices to integrate sophisticated emailing capabilities into their applications swiftly. The clear and comprehensive documentation walks you through every step, and the intuitive API makes crafting and sending emails a breeze. Not to mention the extensive libraries in various languages, reducing development time and effort. Truly, its convenience and efficiency make it a preferred choice for developers looking to implement email services.
Cons:
The support seems to be slow to respond at times and/or not very effective. Also delivery is not the best in the industry. but still very good.
Unique Way to Build a Custom Campaign manager in Record Time
Comments: We've liked it thus far, we're working on rebranding and on the email side we're ready thanks to SendGrid.
Pros:
We like how there are code snippets, thorough documentation, and multiple-domain support (Something we lacked before)
Cons:
I'm fond of support that makes you wait for a solution when an issue arises, but errors and documentation is thorough enough it rarely happens.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: We cannot disclose our previous provider, so we did switch but can't say. We chose SendGrid over Mailchimp because it's more for developers and custom solutions. MailChimp is more customer-end-user friendly.
WE'VE LOST COMPLETE TRUST IN SENDGRID
Comments: Horrible email sender! We've used SendGrid for nearly 3 years now, and out of nowhere, this weekend they suspended our services claiming our account was exhibiting suspicious behavior. We use SendGrid to support email sending for our online software application. This unexpected and unwarranted outage impacted our clients and operations. We immediately reached out to customer support for assistance and received the most unhelpful and incompetent support, repeatedly being told that the Compliance Team would review our case. In the meantime, we now have to explain to our customers that we are experiencing an outage that we have no control over and no estimation on the resolution. It's incredible that a vendor would suspend services without a single warning email. We have lost complete trust in SendGrid and are now opting to switch to a different email sender.
Pros:
Nothing at all.
Cons:
Customer support; proactive communication; troubleshooting; reliability
Automated Emails With Ease
Comments: It's quick, fast and efficient and gets the job done. Very straight forward and easy to incorporate into any business with an online presence.
Pros:
The ease of use and integration for automated emails
Cons:
Not as much versatility in templates as I would like
SendGrid is our #1 email sender for newsletters and outbound
Comments: We use SendGrid for newsletter and outbound sequences and our overall experience is positive. It serves its purpose, while some of the functionalities could be improved.
Pros:
I like the ability to send single newsletters, or automations. I like the segmentation of the contact lists. I like the interface and user friendliness. I like the foreign IP address for risk free outbound initiatives.
Cons:
I would invite the possibility to merge contact lists. I would also invite more intuitive set up of the automations. I would love better analytics with the automations.
Effective and affordable
Comments: We have used SendGrid for transactional emails for over ten years. It works. It’s simple. It’s affordable.
Pros:
SendGrid is straightforward and does what we need it to do for an affordable price.
Cons:
SendGrid is not complex enough for out marketing email needs.
Alternatives Considered: Mailchimp
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I chose SendGrid because its functions as we need it to and it’s affordable for a small startup.
Customer Service Is Terrible
Comments: As long as you don't have an issue and need CS their tech works great and have a good value proposition. When I can find another company with a similar value proposition and even decent customer service I will switch.
Pros:
They present a good value and a dependable product
Cons:
Customer service is terrible. It used to be pretty good. They have made getting service more difficult, and when you use the chat they try to redirect you away. So when you chat you get in a queue and they text you when you are next. I get a text go to the chat and it says >1 Minute. I stay on for 3-5 minutes no one is there, I go back to what I am doing and when I go back the chat closed. Do it all over again, and this time within a minute someone gets on. I message 7 times my question and issue, 10 minutes go by before I get an answer. The whole process is terrible and purposefully by design treats their paying customer like trash. You don't matter, your time doesn't matter, and in fact you are an idiot for not figuring out the issue on your own. Even when my question/issue was something ONLY they can do. I do not have the ability to increase subusers, only they do. I wish I could say that this is a SendGrid issue, almost every business has rearranged their CS to serve employees, which usually is at the expense of those who pay to make the whole operation work.
Alternatives Considered: SparkPost
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: I also use Twilio, seemed like a reasonable thing to use both services.

Fantastic solution for transactional emails
Pros:
SendGrid is one of the best solutions for me in the transactional email service because it's easy to start using, the free version is generous and the more affordable paid version isn't bad.
Cons:
I stopped using it simply because I found another even simpler solution, with lower prices and excellent support. Other than that I would continue to use it.

Excellent, reliable - I recommend; using for years pre-Twilio
Pros:
Reliable, excellent delivery rates, clean API - I like 'em. Have used for years including Pre-Twilio acquisition, and still good service.
Cons:
No complaints here. Not sure what to write.
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun
Reasons for Switching to SendGrid: We use both - for different reasons / types - both great products and no wrong answer.

Sendgrid'e Email API has solved our problems in email campaigns
Comments: In addition to having their emails filtered as spam, sales representatives were unable to monitor their recipients' actions when sending them via their email client. Our problem was fixed via Sendgrid's email API.
Pros:
Integrating with the email API is a breeze. When compared to other mass email service providers, we have seen that SendGrid consistently produces the highest interaction rates. The ability to automatically retry sent emails is a good bonus.
Cons:
There is no consistency in the percentages of emails opened or clicked. There is currently no mechanism to block measurements that originate from email service provider bots.
Better choice for Email Marketing Software
Comments: It was a good experience, Sendgrid is Easy to use and user-friendly, and you can work with the free plan after that you scale your business
Pros:
they give you a free trial with 100 emails/day forever.delivery optimization toolsVarious email templates
Cons:
-not good at reporting and analyticsthere is no Ai tool to help you with Campaignsa lot of pricing plans
Business solution to ensure your saas email arrives as intended
Comments: Quick to set up and test to ensure it meets your email needs before committing to a subscription
Pros:
Pro solution for ensuring the mails you send from your domain using saas products get through to their destination
Cons:
Highly configurable which can make it more complex to get your head around
Literally anyone could use SendGrid. It's great.
Comments: Overall, I would select SendGrid over many of it's competitors. It is simple to use, quick, and best of all the delivery rate is way higher than other platforms that I have used.
Pros:
SendGrid is incredibly simple to use. Its ease in usability makes working with team members who are not as tech savvy, incredibly helpful. This lets more folks take on the initiative to use the platform, over having one person who really knows how to use it.
Cons:
The contact limit. When downloading large contact sizes, you have to be really careful about doubling up on contacts, or erasing the file but not the contacts which has been confusing for me
Integrated with Envision
Pros:
I love the visual editor - it makes putting together email campaigns quite simple. Being able to edit both desktop and mobile independently is always a plus. I love that it integrates with our Salon booking system - Envision.
Cons:
Current limitations placed on Envision/SendGrid integration is only 5000 emails per location. We would love to increase but were told we are not able to. Also, unable to view campaign statics with the integrated platform.

Sending tons of great emails - perfect match for MS Azure
Comments: We've been working with SendGrid for years and never lets us down. The free starter version and the cheap license plans makes it perfect.
Pros:
Integrated into MS Azure, easy Core 8 (.Net any version), nuget works like a charm
Cons:
None really, would like to see a better integration with MS Azure portal to avoid the open other window to check stats.
The definitive SMTP email sender
Pros:
Sendgrid is fantastic, it is easy to setup, it works well, it sends emails securely and avoids spam filters, it allows for in-depth reporting and logs of emails on the rare occasion they need to be reviewed because an email has not been delivered. We recommend this for all of our eCommerce customers and use it ourselves, we couldn't be happier.
Cons:
Previously it was hard to manage several customers under one login which was frustrating, but Sendgrid listened to the requests for this feature and implemented it a few years back, we are delighted with the product
Getting emails delivered well
Comments: I really enjoy having Sendgrid in my toolbox of things to enhance my business
Pros:
Send has been an asset in my business to help me get better email deliverability in my marketing campaigns
Cons:
For me, it took a few minutes to get it going in the way I use it, but wasnt too difficult
Sendgrid, and answer for the lack of transactional emails
Pros:
They provide and amazing option to sending transactional emails where other CRM/Marketing options don't.
Cons:
Some api improvements could be made but overall works well.
Needs improvement
Pros:
Quite simple to use which can sometimes lead to limitations
Cons:
I had several problems in sending due to differences in the database. the planning of the campaigns is non-existent within this tool.
Awesome transactional email service that increases delivery rate of emails
Pros:
It's works as advertised. It gets transactional emails delivered on time and decreases the chance of going to spam or junk folders. It also integrates with a lot of software. The free version is great.
Cons:
I wish they had better instructional videos and guides to help me with my specific use case or scenario. I had to do research on my own to complete my setup.
One of the best Emailing tools out there
Comments: My overall experience is very good I have been using the platform for years now and never had any issues it works great.
Pros:
I like how I was able to get set up fast and how easy the platform is to use and if I need help there is help there for you right away. I also like that I can manage my email and campaigns from one place, and you all even have a free version.
Cons:
The only thing I like least is that is could be a bit cheaper or give more emails to be added for that plan for the price.
A solid tool for any marketeer.
Pros:
Sendgrid is really userfriendly and budget friendly.
Cons:
It lacks a bit of flexibility from a design stand point but makes up for in intuitiveness.

Opt-in hub for a client
Pros:
Very easy opt-in integration for multiple landing pages and websites.
Cons:
I can't really complain about SendGrid since I've been using it only for opt-in hub.
Good solution for WordPress SMTP
Comments: We needed a way to improve on the fairly dismal email deliverability in client WordPress sites, and our primary web host had an integration with SendGrid. After seeing great improvement in deliverability with SendGrid, we have started using it on many sites hosted elsewhere.
Pros:
The biggest pro is that SendGrid has a free tier -- increasingly their competitors are moving away from having one. As a result, we can use SendGrid with many sites to improve email deliverability within Wordpress for free, and it's still affordable if it's needed more.
Cons:
Email validation is not available until you reach the Pro level, which can be a bit pricier for smaller sites.
Alternatives Considered: Mailgun
Terrible service
Comments: Terrible service, it worked in testing mode, and so I purchased their subscription, after I deployed my website to product env, it stopped working properly, and so I was gonna log in them again, but always failed, at all I contacted them, but they didn't resolve for 2 days, it made my business terrible meanwhile, at last, they blocked my account.I m using aws ses service, its the best one than this terrible service.Good luck, terrible guys
Pros:
There is Pros on SendGrid. Such service should be fired in the world.
Cons:
Actually, it doesn't work properly, wasting time, wasting money
