Managed Print Services (MPS)
Managed print services (MPS) are companies that provide support and tools for other businesses to print, fax, and copy within their own office. The MPS aids in identifying the type of equipment that an organization needs and provides continual support and maintenance of the equipment. Unlike commercial print services, MPS do not do the printing on their end.
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Managed Print Services (MPS)
SMBs typically have three options when it comes to their business printing needs: retail, MPS, and commercial printing. The retail approach leaves everything up to the business's IT team. They purchase the equipment and are responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting. With commercial printing, an SMB simply sends their files to a commercial printer. An MPS falls in the middle: the business does its own printing but is not entirely responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance.
